Honestly facts, delay next gen consoles until that twat is out of office.

FFS I can't see why Sony would also not go up to $80 games as soon as with Yotei or at the least with the first new game still not announced as Yotei pre orders start tomorrow.

Which means R$ 400 for a game here ($80 is R$ 500 for Nintendo, but that's only them greedlords), I know I'm not paying near that, but that means I'll need to wait a decent time to buy games I'm really hyped for too (already wait for all other games).

Gaming is becoming prohibitive once again.

Last year they announced their partnership with the NFL, that includes audio, communication inside the field, cameras, the hawk eye camera and the creation of virtual content. That partnership starts this season so it's going to be interesting how that works.

Last year they also bought the rights for Queen music, in theory that was the reason why they wouldn't have enough cash to buy Kadokawa. Let's see what they will do with their new acquisition budget for this year if they already decided to focus on entertainment.

I don't think buying Queen's catalog is the reason they didn't buy Kadokawa lol. They bought Michael Jackson's catalog a few years ago around the same time they were interested in Paramount.

Sony has already said they are willing to exceed their mid range investment allocation if need be.

Making a quick search Sony only bought half of MJ rights for half the price they paid for Queen music (1.2 billion). But you are right I wrote it wrong, the queen music wasn't THE reason, was one of the reasons why Sony wouldn't have all the money needed at the end of the year to buy the whole of Kadokawa.

And it's correct that they could exceed the budget if needed but the thing is Sony wasn't interested in buying Kadokawa, Kadokawa was the one making the push at least at that specific moment, who knows now that Sony focus to entertainment is bigger.

Sony already made their increases in Europe an other territories, all is left are the America changes. If they can keep the console under the xbox $600 it would be a great opportunity for the GTA6 release at the end of the year.

We know they are going to match xbox and nintendo games prices but I would expect that change to be announced at the end of the year. The last game they are going to publish this year is Yotei, it already has a $70 price and the preorders start tomorrow.

Hard to believe that I'm probably not getting my own Playstation this generation. I kept waiting for a pricedrop and all I got is more and more price hikes. May as well upgrade my PC or wait for PS6 and get it at launch, knowing price trajectory could be similar. Madness.

Everyone needs to hop on this deal asap! lol and instead of 1, you get 2 Astro games!!!

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

Pirate everything. IDGAF anymore. I won't argue against it anymore. Doesn't matter.

Trump might "brute force" a third term at this rate lol...

I do think longer development times and the graphical jump becoming narrower are two factors that work well with a near decade long generation.

Honestly I have no issue with 2029 for PS6. Only had a PS5 for about 6 months now. I wouldn't mind enjoying it for another 4 more years before the successor is available.
