It looks like Sony is considering spinning off their semi-conductor business to go all in on their entertainment divisions via Bloomberg. They are also planning to spin off their financial division later this year.

A24 is really the only big move Sony can make for their entertainment divisions outside of gaming. We got rumors of Kadokawa late last year, but its interesting that Bandai Namco is working on a few dormant Japan Studio IP's.

Last year they announced their partnership with the NFL, that includes audio, communication inside the field, cameras, the hawk eye camera and the creation of virtual content. That partnership starts this season so it's going to be interesting how that works.

Last year they also bought the rights for Queen music, in theory that was the reason why they wouldn't have enough cash to buy Kadokawa. Let's see what they will do with their new acquisition budget for this year if they already decided to focus on entertainment.
