Forums - Sony - PlayStation Nation |OT| Playing Astro Bot on the Horizon Until Dawn

If Xbox becomes a branded PC, it won't matter whether or not it can play Sony's PC ports. It'll pose as little threat as a SteamMachine or SteamDeck, so it's not something Sony should worry about. But Xbox fanboys like ColtEastwood and Jez Corden will celebrate like it's the end of Playstation and act like the cunning and ultra smart Microsoft revolutionized gaming.

Sony's core problem here is the idea of bringing their games to PC, which the next Xbox will be a very small part of. Their PC program should slowly make PS platforms redundant, and it already caused a lot of damage in the internet discourse. Sony probably wouldn't mind becoming a closed PC under one condition: having their entire store and playerbase from consoles preserved (but even then, they wouldn't be able to keep multiplayer behind a paywall anymore). This is pretty much impossible. Even if they somehow pull it off, they would be losing more players to Steam than gaining. Steam is too powerful and could slowly kill Playstation on PC, or render it tiny.

I'm actually a little surprised MS isn't trying to get Steam or convince Valve to sell. It's the only sure way to dominate PC.

Yeah.. that’s a complete deal breaker for me. Was bad enough having to create a MS account for Xbox, ain’t no way I’m creating one for PS5.

Uhh, why would you create an account just for the PS5, why not just use the same account?

(Unless you were joking)

I'm sorry, like I said I'm ignorant of these things.

So if you have 10 different devices all running windows OS, it knows what all 10 of those different devices are?

edit: Meant to quote the other gents response.

G2ThaUNiT already mentioned MAC addresses.

But there's different identifiers like MAC addresses such as product serial numbers and assigned IP addresses by the router/network device.

@OT - I'm assuming y'all talking about limiting certain games like Sony's games to be playable on Xbox's next consoles if Steam is an app that is on it, can easily do that considering the Chinese version of the Steam store is different from everywhere else but I'm sure its possible to modify it to where you can bypass it especially if its running through Windows.

Ride The Chariot | ‘25 Completion

I have a higher appreciation for Uncharted 4's climbing in my current playthrough.

It's not particularly challenging, but the lack of markers, all the unique animations, the detail and physics of the ledges, it comes together so well.

While all of this is true, I do kinda hope the next game does something a bit more with. But I'm not sure how you add to the climbing in a way that doesn't feel like it may slow down the experience.

That would be a tough one.

I feel like more dynamic environmental puzzles can help with making the climbing feel more significant. I'd love for the next Uncharted to have more fleshed out, open world levels, similar to The Last of Us Part II.

It looks like People Can Fly is working on a PlayStation IP codenamed Project Delta.

at least they are still alive after the Outriders fiasco. When they started with the VR games it felt like the end but it looks like there's story left.
