Forums - Sony Discussion - PlayStation Nation |OT| Playing Astro Bot on the Horizon Until Dawn

I finally was able to get started on Astro Bot this past weekend after finishing up a couple other games, and man this game is such a fun time! I'll 100% the second galaxy this evening. Bright and colorful, fantastic upbeat soundtrack, tight platforming (although double jumping, I've had some issues with where it'll activate on an initial jump when jumping off a type of terrain. Primarily noticed it during the challenges) great use of in-game physics, and some very fun and clever mechanics in certain levels. Some of which coming over from Playroom.

Really my only criticism off the top of my head is including the bots you need to rescue as part of the challenges (outside of the double jumping activating when it isn't supposed to) I love having the challenges there but including them as part of one of the core gameplay loops of rescuing the bots I think will wall off a lot of players. Especially those that aren't the best at platformers but still want to 100% the game. A lot of these shape challenges are TOUGH! But oh so satisfying when accomplished! It would've been great if Team Asobi had included a cool cosmetic unlock as part of completing the shape challenges rather than a normal bot rescue you will have already done a hundred times.

But that's my only nitpick so far in what's otherwise been a very special game. Can't wait to complete everything the game has to offer!

Better have a cool new game to show, not only Horizon remaster.
It's about time Sucker Punch shows their next game, Naughty Dog too... but TLoU2 online was that game and it should take them out of the loop for next year too.

130-plus hours later of Gundam Breaker 4. Everything on Jehuty's build leveled up to 50. Built Anubis. A Space Marine. VanQuish. Eplislon Eagle from Alien Soldier. Bulk Slash Mech. White Glint from Armored Core 4.  But there are so many insane creations from people. Kirby. Spongebob. A sandwich. Spaceship. Cloud. Tifa. Barret and Vincent. Sephiroth. Darth Vader. GUTS from Berserk. Dragon Ball.  Mewtwo. Kamen Rider. That blue cat in Japan. Mega Man. Zero. Ultraman. Magicarp. Samus from Metroid Dread. Attack on Titan. List goes on and on. Even if you have no interest in mech games. Check on Twitter and Reddit people's creations in Gundam Breaker 4. You'd be surprised.

Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy Tactics or Kingdom Hearts IV - I'll take any of these three.

Thats all I care for.

Yotei time!

Ghost of Yotei looks great as expected. I enjoyed the SoP a lot. KC, SU and Capcom showing up like real business partners do, the clay game Midnight Walk looks stunning and the remasters are nice. I have to say I was expecting at least one more PS Studios game BUT I also know that game could have been Fairgame and while I don't want to measure everything with the Concord stick I also don't want them to close a show with Fairgame so I take the show for what it was LOL.

We are finally getting out of that bottleneck called COVID lockdown guys. Hell yeah.
