Forums - Sony Discussion - PlayStation Nation |OT| Playing Astro Bot on the Horizon Until Dawn

I might have to download Dreams again.

When I used to play it, I always got caught up in other creations, so I never got around to playing its story mode. Now with the release of Tren, it might be a good time to dive back in and get a few trophies on the way lol.

PS5 disc edition will be $449 at Target starting this coming Sunday, other retailers will possible follow suit.

Baldur's Gate 3 is doing phenomenally on Steam and is one of the highest rated games of the year so far.

Despite saying they have no interest in being acquired, Sony seems to lock up studios that value their independence, such as Bluepoint and Insomniac. They would make a great addition to the PlayStation family, filling a gap in their portfolio, and would be a relatively cheap buy as well.

Would honestly be a phenomenal purchase tbh. Would help combat the loss of WRPGs. Would be wise though to keep it day and date with PC as well if they did buy them.

CDPR would be another one tbh. Get them and Larian for PS.

Apparently Tencent owns 30% of the company. It may very well be the case that they're happy and comfortable staying independent. So it feels unlikely.

But at the same time, I say this gen never say never. As you said, Bluepoint was pretty adamant about staying independent themselves just months before being acquired. And it would definitely be a strong studio to add.

If tencent owns 30% must be hard purchase, or sony starts to make some western rpgs or in a few years they have zero from third party studios because microsoft is getting everyone.

30% ownership from Tencent almost feels like it's not something Sony is going to get themselves into, but I guess Tencent might be willing to sell.

Larian would be a valuable buy, and I have no doubt that their future games would remain PS/ PC day 1. The fact that Larian is first a PC developer, also makes them a worthwhile buy as Sony continues to look to the PC market to increase their business.

On another note, rest of the year should be good for Sony:

2 Sony releases (i don't think Steller Blade or Convolarria are releasing this year, but good if they)

5 hardware/ accessory releases (new PS5 SKU, external disc drive, Project Q, the accessibility controller, earphones)

1 service (push into cloud)

3 3rd party exclusives (GB Versus and Relink, Baldur's Gates 3)

PS5 50$ discount is now live in the US.
Offer ends in two weeks on 20th Aug.

Both were bidding at the same time, and news of both being interested were only a couple days apart.

There was a 3rd group interested in Leyou, but I'm not sure if they were ever revealed.
