That's why you should watch that video, Alistair Crooke explains Iran's strategy in detail, as well as what's happening behind the war drum propaganda.

It's the US military bases in the ME and its radar capabilities that are getting run over while Iran is still using old missiles to rapidly deplete interceptors and are already getting freedom of the skies over Arab countries as the US is scrambling to get all the remaining interceptors to Israel.

Arab countries are now seeing that US protection means nothing and are already starting to pivot investments away from the US.

Yes, you are missing the big picture. This is going to be a long war, Iran is not backing down. Iran is larger than France, Germany, Spain, and the UK combined and has its rocket capabilities decentralized over 57 districts.

Taking out the top leadership is exactly what Iran prepared for and is only biting the US in the butt now as there's no one left to negotiate with. Next to unleashing another jihad in Iraq and other countries for turning the Ayatollah into a martyr. Which he likely planned as he was just sitting in his home office, defying all advice to go into shelter.

The effect is more extreme hardliners will take over from Khamenei and the more moderate top leadership that kept preaching restraint in all the previous attacks from Israel and the US, assassinations and bombing wise.

Interesting, maybe I'll watch the video. Do you think we'll see more significant US/Israeli losses in the coming weeks, or do you think Iran's aims are more about regional control?

Iran's regime is betting that they are willing to endure more loss than the U.S. will. So, their goal is to make the war as costly as possible. If the U.S. is more desparate to end this than Iran, they will be able to negotiate more favorable terms.

Israel would first have to stop assassinating anyone in a position to negotiate. Yet that's their entire plan, keep the US trapped in the destruction of Iran. Anyone replacing them would only be more reluctant to negotiate.

The war will be very costly even if it ends today. The ripple effects will have grave consequences to the world economy.

In this wide-ranging interview of ‘Mehdi Unfiltered,’ former Obama official Ben Rhodes joins Mehdi Hasan to discuss Israel’s role in shaping the United States’ war with Iran.

Ben Rhodes served as deputy national security adviser in Barack Obama’s White House for eight years. He was working with President Obama as Benjamin Netanyahu continued to pressure the US, time and time again, to attack Iran.

In the discussion, Rhodes tells Mehdi that Israel’s ultimate objective is to turn Iran into a “failed state.” He criticizes Democratic Party leadership for failing to respond to the conflict, arguing that those who did not oppose the war must be primaried.

The two also examine the Obama administration’s decision to pursue regime change in Libya in 2011 without congressional approval. “I acknowledge the mistakes made,” Rhodes tells Mehdi, reflecting on the intervention.

"NEW YORK/WASHINGTON, March 11 (Reuters) - U.S. intelligence indicates that Iran's leadership is still largely intact and is not at risk of collapse any time soon after nearly two weeks of relentless U.S. and Israeli bombardment, according to three sources familiar with the matter.

A "multitude" of intelligence reports provide "consistent analysis that the regime is not in danger" of collapse and "retains control of the Iranian public," ‌said one of the sources, all of whom were granted anonymity to discuss U.S. intelligence findings."

Pretty sure Netenyahu sold Trump on the idea it would be a quick thing. And he knew that Trump would be too stubborn to admit defeat. Played like the fucking moron he is.

Yeah Kent said as much in his resignation letter.

The big problem now is, there is no off ramp

"This is at best a year long conflict with no resolution at the end of that year and all manner of pertabbation of global economies. And I'm not just talking oil. I'm talking fertilizer and food stuff, urea in particular."

This entire administration is such a joke.

“[AIPAC is] literally going every route possible to make sure that they can buy this election… This is one of the most working class districts we have in the state and at the same time, billionaires at AIPAC are literally trying to buy the seat."

In this ‘Mehdi Unfiltered’ panel, Mehdi Hasan sits down with three pro-Palestinian candidates from the Chicago area, as they pull back the curtain on AIPAC affiliates and donors who have spent over $13 million in pushing their preferred candidates in congressional primaries in Illinois.

The panel includes former Zeteo contributor and journalist Kat Abughazaleh, tech entrepreneur Junaid Ahmed and State Senator Robert Peters. In the panel, they discuss the pro-Israeli lobby’s influence on elections, US-Israeli war in Iran, recent controversies, regrets and military aid to Israel.

One of the bad things about living in Arizona is that Turning Point USA is based here. So they are always throwing money at every election. I see campaign posters all around the Valley. It makes it easy for me to know who not to vote for.

Markwayne Mullin, the Oklahoma thug with anger issues, almost got his bid for DHS secretary defeated in committee thanks to Rand Paul's opposition.

Then John Fetterman stepped in....

Afroman 2028!

The Trump administration has lied to the American people yet again.

Since striking Iran in late February, Donald Trump and top administration officials haven’t been able to get their stories straight about their rationale for war.

“They’ve had these constantly shifting rationales,” says Senator Chris Van Hollen, who sits on the Foreign Relations Committee. “And the reason they have to keep shifting them is because when they say that one thing was their goal – like getting rid of Iran’s nuclear capacity, they claimed – that turns out to be just not true.”

What is true, though, is that Trump played right into Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s hands when he decided to strike Iran. “Netanyahu just a few weeks ago said he’d been waiting 40 years for an American president to join him in attacking Iran. And in Donald Trump, he finally found somebody stupid enough and reckless enough to actually do it,” Van Hollen explains.

While Van Hollen, who is widely considered a possible 2028 presidential candidate, slams Trump for acquiescing to Netanyahu and Israel, he doesn’t spare Joe Biden either:

“The Biden administration did nothing to hold the Netanyahu government to account, and now the Trump administration is not only doing nothing to hold them to account, but essentially just giving them a blank check to do whatever they want in Lebanon or in Iran.”

01:30 Why are we at war?
05:37 Trump’s motivations
08:09 Iranian girls’ school bombing
11:46 Democrats supporting Iran war
14:19 Cost of war
15:56 Chance of rigged midterms
18:04 Situation in Gaza
22:02 Criticism from ADL
24:13 American attitudes on Israel
25:42 Netanyahu rumors

The Netanyahu rumors are only getting stronger, either he died on March 8th or is somewhere hiding / recovering.

Could Van Hollen run in 2028?

Mar a Lago goes blue!

The special election wins keep piling up. Let's hope it carries on into the midterms.

Hopefully she can do something about the epidemic spreading there...:
