I really appreciate Pritzker willing to say the strong things.  

"How much money is wasted on this" is a good question. I don't really know how the National Guard is paid. Do they get extra money when they are doing this instead of doing whatever they were doing before? Where are those funds coming from and going to? What were these people doing before? Were they "deployed" for this or were they previously just hanging out in bases doing whatever it is they do there?

Newsom if Newsom wasn't a dickhead.

Pritzker is my #1 choice for Democratic nominee right now I suppose, I have reservations about his billionaire status but everyone from his state seems to say he's brilliant, I appreciate that he, unlike other Democrats, has refused to throw trans people under the bus, Republicans and Media try to make trans people like some big bogeyman when they represent like 1% of the population, leave them the fuck alone. Pritzker says a lot of the right things and isn't afraid to call the bullshit out. He seems fairly strong on social issues and a smart man overall.

I do more than anything hope right now that someone "new" pops into the scene because so many of the Democrat choices are just such massive disappointments, Lol.

My father was in the Arizona Air Force National Guard. He went to drill at the Phoenix Armory one weekend a month, and then for two weeks out of every year, he would be at Lackland AFB in Texas for whatever annual training they did there. The rest of the time, he worked at his regular job at the main Post Office in Phoenix, and was my dad. I used to get up with him when he got ready to go to his weekend drill. Granted, this was many years ago and Trump was just another rich philandering pervert who was regular tabloid fodder. That was in Reagan's time. And knowing this administration, these Guardsmen who were dragged out to perform litter duty and public intimidation of people who don't support Trump, these Guardsmen aren't getting half of whatever they may have been promised, if anything.  But that's true of any military job. My dad had many promises, even those given in writing, broken, and it often took lawyers and even a personal visit with our Congressman to get the government to make good on them.

The Beverly Hills superintendent overruled his school board’s decision to hang the Israeli flag.


Debates over whether the Israeli flag represents the Jewish people or the Jewish state — and whether the two can be separated — aren’t exactly standard fare for a school board meeting.

But that was the discussion in Beverly Hills last week, when the school board voted 3-2 to display the Israeli flag at its public schools during Jewish American Heritage Month.

All five board members initially supported flying the flags, but after criticism from local Palestinian activists, the board revised its resolution to say the display was meant to show support for the “Jewish community” rather than the “Jewish state,” according to the LA Times. The superintendent then overruled the board, citing “heightened safety concerns” and canceling the plan.


Simple solution, use this one



Just like the flag for Christianity is not tied to a nation. But that doesn't fit the narrative that criticism of Israel's politics is anti-semitism.

The administration warned Republicans that voting to release more files on Jeffrey Epstein would be seen as “a hostile act.”

As many as 100 survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and other victims of sexual abuse are expected to attend a rally Wednesday in Washington, D.C. as a bipartisan Congressional effort gains steam to force the U.S. Department of Justice to make public its controversial files on the disgraced sex trafficker.

Two lawmakers, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) are pushing for a vote in the U.S. House of Representatives that would mandate U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to release the files on the Epstein case. The lawmakers are holding a press conference 10:30 a.m. Wednesday on the steps of the U.S. Capitol with 10 survivors, some of whom have not spoken publicly before.

In advance of the press conference, some 100 survivors are expected at a rally organized by several victim advocate groups near the Capitol.
