Terrorism in France! Many cars have been set ablaze in prisons across France, letting the snail eaters that terrorism will keep happening, and to always watch out, or some poor frenchman could perish...... How will Trump respond? Will he give an eloquent speech about the evils of religion that goes too far? Will he merely fart and say "meh?". Discuss

Is he on Diddy's party list as well???
Donald Trump is now "seriously considering" a full presidential pardon for Diddy ahead of his sentencing, according to an administration source cited by Deadline. pic.twitter.com/VebhkNT2Lb

There has to be a total mindset change in the Democratic party. When the war ends, we are not going back to the pre-October 7 status quo. pic.twitter.com/Bow5zmYS2v

I am conflicted watching this.
On one hand, finally, the centrists Obama boys are joining the rest of us which is great, on the other hand, I say the rest of us because even people on the right have joined us before they did, the right wing bros podcasters spheres have been more outspoken than them on the issue, even Marjorie Taylor Greene has called it a genocide by now ffs. It just seems like they're saying it because the vibe has shifted. No principled positions whatsoever.
This is the same podcast that avoided the topic of Gaza like the plague during the elections. They had Kamala consultants on for hours after she lost, and not a single question was about Gaza when they absolutely should have asked "was it the right decision to tiptoe around the issue the way Kamala did?" because the answer is absolutely not, just look at how Mamdani won, not despite of, but because he's principled on the issue.
And that is a lesson for the left here. What's the point of compromising and bowing down just to allow people like them to take the lead? The situation in Gaza and the West Bank was never a grey issue. It was never a conversation that required nuance or deep understanding of the ins and the outs. You were right to be upset and you were right to turn this issue into a moral test for your candidates and hold their feet to the fire over it. Now do it again and do it with every other issue that you care about. I'm including myself here as someone who has campaigned for Starmer's Labour (lol) and actively pushed people to vote for Kamala.

US Senate lawmakers have failed to pass two resolutions that would have blocked arms sales to Israel in response to civilian casualties in Gaza and the ongoing starvation of the territory’s population.
Vermont independent Senator Bernie Sanders introduced the bills, which failed to pass by 73 to 24 and 70 to 27 in the 100-member chamber in voting late on Wednesday.
All votes in favour of Wednesday’s resolutions came from Democrats, with all of President Donald Trump’s fellow Republicans opposed.
Despite the loss, Sanders said he was pleased the majority of Democrats backed the effort this time around.
“The tide is turning. The American people do not want to spend billions to starve children in Gaza,” Sanders said.
“The Democrats are moving forward on this issue, and I look forward to Republican support in the near future,” he added.
Netanyahu is a disgusting liar.Â
Children are starving to death.Â
The United States cannot continue to supply his racist government with hundreds of millions of dollars in military aid that is used to kill innocent people.

S.J.Res.34 – To prohibit the U.S.-taxpayer financed $675.7 million sale of 201 MK 83 1,000-pound bombs; 4,799 BLU-110A/B General Purpose 1,000-pound bombs; 1,500 Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) guidance kits for MK 83 bombs; 3,500 JDAM guidance kits for MK 83 bombs; and related logistics and technical support services.
S.J.Res.41 – To prohibit the sale of tens of thousands of fully automatic assault rifles.
77% of the Senate is still for sending more 1,000 pound bombs to drop on tent shelters.
The tide might be turning, but it needs to turn a lot faster. And those 73 votes to send more 1,000 pound bombs are directly complicit in genocide now. There is tons of proof the MK 83 US bombs have been used in war crimes, breaking US and international law.
Trump says ‘very hard’ to agree trade deal if Canada to recognise Palestinian state
Previously, we reported that Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said his country intends to recognise a Palestinian state at the UN General Assembly in September.
President Trump has now thrown doubt over ongoing tariff negotiations with Canada, writing on his Truth Social platform that Ottawa’s plan to recognise a Palestinian state “will make it very hard for us to make a Trade Deal with them”.
The Trump administration has said it will impose a 35 percent tariff on many Canadian goods from Friday if a trade deal is not reached.
Canada should sanction the US for supporting genocide but that won't happen. Canadians do however and we can sell our stuff elsewhere.

Hopefully this puts an end to the "Our Cherished 51st State!" horseshit.
Another one caves in
Brown University reaches settlement deal after ‘anti-Semitism’ row
Brown University has become the third Ivy League campus to reach a deal with the Donald Trump administration, which among other things, has accused the country’s top universities of “anti-Semitism” because their students organised pro-Palestine protests.
As part of the deal, Brown will pay $50m over 10 years to improve Rhode Island’s workforce development programmes.
It will also commit to supporting its local Jewish community and restricting its acknowledgement of transgender students.

Anti-semitism, or rather criticism of Israel's policies / support for Palestine, now used to turn the clock back on LGBTQ+ rights...
US Senator Sanders posts video of GHF whistleblower
US Senator Bernie Sanders has become the latest lawmaker to amplify the message of Anthony Aguilar, a US Army veteran and former GHF employee who has said he witnessed “war crimes” in Gaza.
“The distribution method, the delivery of aid, is not being done in line with American values,” Aguilar said in a video posted by Sanders. He added that the Israeli military “controlled and direct every aspect of the deliver of aid”.
He described the distribution sites as akin to the popular book and film series, The Hunger Games, with the fastest and strongest receiving aid, and women and children often left behind. Those who gathered were regularly shot with tear gas and rubber bullets, with defence contractors for the GHF at several times appearing to fatally shoot Palestinians, he said.
“This is not hyperbole, this is not Hamas propaganda, this is not the Gaza Health Ministry saying it,” he said. “It’s me. I’ve seen it.”
The post represents the increased embrace of Aguilar by US lawmakers. Earlier this week, he spoke with Senator Chris Van Hollen about his experience.
Tony Aguilar is a retired Special Forces Green Beret who won a Purple Heart for his service to this country.
He took a contract helping to distribute aid in Gaza.
There, he witnessed atrocities committed using American taxpayer dollars.

Trump says Canadian recognition of Palestinian state not trade ‘deal breaker’
The US president appears to be backing away from his threats against Canada over its plan to recognise a Palestinian state.
Trump, who has launched a trade war with the northern neighbour since taking office, had said on Wednesday that Canada’s move would make it “very hard for us to make a Trade Deal with them”.
Trump softened that position today, telling reporters that he did not like Canada’s move, but it was not a “deal breaker”.
The president you can rely on!
More Tarifs anyway

Here are some of the highest adjusted reciprocal tariffs that the White House announced this evening:
President Donald Trump signed an executive order increasing the tariff rate on Canada from 25% to 35%, the White House said in a statement on Thursday. The higher tariff rate will go into effect tomorrow.
Trump increased the tariff rate “in response to Canada’s continued inaction and retaliation,” around stemming the flow of fentanyl into the US, according to a fact sheet on the executive order.
What Fentanyl flow?
Let's see how long it lasts this time lol.
