Nope, miss the big picture. Everyone from liberal states are already moving to republican states like Texas and Florida to increase their electoral votes so it doesn't matter. However, Liberal states are already taking huge hits and lost electoral votes last time. Looks like it is going to be even worse next time around lol.

That is what they get for screwing their citizens by making COL ridiculously high.

Seems like you're just moving the goal posts now. Now it isn't about electoral college change because of ICE arrests but it's actually because of people moving within the US.

That's honestly a much more valid argument though. You should've started there.

People do move from high cost areas to lower cost areas, which does have an effect on Electoral College votes per state. That said, those people moving from blue States tend to move into blue cities in red states. I think if this trend continues, the rural portion of votes from states like Texas and Florida will decrease while the urban portion will increase, which also brings its own set of concerns for Republicans. There have been questions for years about whether Texas would become a swing state. Add a few million people from California and that starts to look a lot more likely, and once Texas becomes purple (or even blue), Republicans are going to have a lot to be concerned about nationally.

As for Cost of Living, we are already seeing a lot of red states making many of the same mistakes that led the big blue states to where they are today. The rate of housing growth in a lot of these booming areas like Atlanta, Dallas, Miami etc has rapidly declined and housing costs are spiking. It may not be long until the housing affordability crisis becomes the number one issue across the country (if it isn't already).

It is about the ICE arrests and border security too. California for example has a stagnating population while Texas is growing exponentially.

California can't take anymore hits while Texas can spare it. That is why liberals want open borders. Texas will be safe because Trump won by a larger margin in 2024 than his previous runs. Blue states are more expensive to live in because of high taxes and anti business laws. All taxes do is take money from the middle class. Even the corporate taxes as well.

Poor people can't pay taxes because they don't have any money and rich people own most of the assets. Therefore, rich people will just raise the price of their product / services to make up for the increase in taxes.

If Blue states are so anti-business, then why are so many prominent businesses headquartered in blue states? A large chunk of tech companies are headquartered in California, and Washington.

This is kind of nonsensical.

If rich people were so unconcerned about taxes, because they'd just pass them on, then why do they fight taxes so much?

There's this very common fallacy when people talk about money as if it's some kind of stagnant number. Money moves around. When governments give food stamps, they are indirectly giving that money to grocery stores, they pay their employees, etc. Those employees buy cars, services, etc. Money moves around. Even if rich people get every single dollar back, these programs are shown to have very good effects on the economy, and how much people are able to get - what kind of life they're able to live.

Plenty of liberals don't favor open borders. Obama deported millions.

The issue is the inhumanity. Illegal immigrants are treated worse than murderers and rapists. And there's a lot of misinformation on how illegal immigrants affect the economy, housing, lies about how they collect government benefits, etc.

Corporations have to spend a lot of time and effort restructuring their business to account for corporate taxes. In the short run they take a hit but in the long run it is the middle class who gets punished. When the government give food stamps, they are artificially increasing the price of food significantly and taking middle class tax money. There is no such thing as a free lunch.

Illegal immigrants do hurt the economy overall. For example, they are undercutting hard working Americans and a lot of illegal immigrants work under the table. Also, a lot of their families are still back in Mexico where taking care of them is a lot cheaper than here in America. Giving them an unfair advantage.

Biden was Obama's puppet and created one of the worse situations for illegal immigration we have ever seen.

They also have to take time lobbying for Republicans to lower their taxes, because they really don't like taxes.

Again, you haven't acknowledged any of the complexity of how money moves.

There apparently is a free lunch, because Republicans love to give corporations free money and subsidies.

Americans are continuously struggling more, while businesses have continued to receive more substantial tax cuts. We're seeing the opposite of what you think we'd be seeing.

They're mostly taking labor jobs that Americans are completely uninterested in having. Which is why Trump has given many jobs an exception.

We have to back our corporations because they are the only reason why our money is worth anything. Plus, they create a lot of innovation that makes our lives better. For example, Microsoft can be evil but they have provided us more opportunity than most companies and made our lives better for the most part ( damn you windows 98).
Americans are willing to do the dirty tough jobs for a decent pay. Pay me 30 dollars an hour and I will pick up hay as a freelancer without question.

Uh, money existed long before corporations did.

Again, we're seeing the opposite. Corporations have ballooned in value, while we've seen a collapse in small business, and almost across the board American lives have consistently gotten worse over the past 45 years regardless of Democrat/Republican presidents. Housing, college, healthcare have consistently gotten worse everywhere in the US over the past 45 years.

Meanwhile, Republicans have granted these corporations trillions of dollars in tax cuts since the year 2000 - and we've not seen the savings that you think are out.

And it's not because of illegal immigration.

Plenty of them still aren't going to do that work for $30 an hour. Plenty of places are struggling to find people.

You're also somehow ignoring that once again, those costs will end up getting passed onto the middle class.

You're wildly mistaken on a lot of these things. I've not sure where you're getting your worldview, but you need to look around more. Turn off Fox News, get off r/conservative or wherever you are reading from.

$30 an hour is a enough to live off of in red states. Blue states, maybe not but that is the democrats fault. Paying for illegal immigrants health care, education, benefits is costing the middle class a lot of money.

The democrats caused sky rocketing prices with their social programs. Why do you think New York and California is so expensive? Again, there is no such thing as a free lunch.

>$30 an hour is a enough to live off of in red states

It's not just about $30 being enough. Why would you do $30 to spend 8 hours a day doing back breaking work in a 90-100F field, when you could get that money in an air conditioned office instead.

>Paying for illegal immigrants health care, education, benefits

They aren't getting benefits. Healthcare, education costs are largely negligible even according to most Republican estimates.

>Why do you think New York and California is so expensive?

Biggest reason is because of NIMBY politics. The economies become desirable, you want a desirable job in a desirable location. California has a lot of crazy high paying tech jobs, so people move in for the tech jobs. There's now more competition in the area, now your house value increases.  You vote for people to keep your house value high. Because its nice when your crappy garage costs a million dollars for no real good reason.

And it continues until it boils over and people move.

Not everyone can get an office job especially in today's job market. Blue collar jobs are better than no job.

Illegal immigrants are getting benefits like free health care because they will never be held accountable for the bills they rack up. Yes, I agree democrats are scum bags who purposely implement policies that defeats the purpose of a free market. Thank you for finally admitting it.

Cool, but we're not going to stop talking about the Epstein files. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I don't think the Democrats or Bill Clinton is going to like that.

You're a fool if you think I care about Bill Clinton. What's next? trying to get me to defend Tony Blair? Fuck both. I don't want to speak for anybody else here, but I'm pretty sure the majority doesn't give a flying fk about Bill Clinton. If memory serves me right, many here didn't like the fact that he was campaigning for Kamala, or that he was sent to Michigan to rally up Democrats to vote.

Nice deflection though (not really), completely avoiding the issue at hand.

I know your daddy told you not to talk about Epstein anymore, and now every other topic is more important to you, I still can't help feel amazed at the level of obedience some of you have towards him, it's nothing new, but it never ceases to amaze me. What good little "boys" and "gals" you are.
