Pakistan nominated him for it but Tbf anyone can be nominated, and India said Trump had nothing to do with the ceasefire between India and Pakistan so it's obviously a clear attempt at Pakistan trying to butter Trump up because that's how easy it is to manipulate the President of the United States nowadays, they nominate him for a Peace Prize based on bullshit so he gives them something in return.
But yeah I doubt he wins it but who knows, the world is dumb as fuck lately.
Republicans rally around Trump after ceasefire announcement
US President Donald Trump’s fellow Republicans have rallied around him after he announced that a ceasefire deal had been reached between Iran and Israel.
In a brief post on X, House Speaker Mike Johnson wrote: “Peace through STRENGTH!”.
Johnson has been feuding with some members of his party who criticised Trump’s decision to strike Iran’s nuclear sites.
Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, one of the most outspoken voices opposed to US intervention in the Iran-Israel war, also welcomed the announced ceasefire, writing on X, “Thank you, President Trump, for pursuing peace!”.
Greene earlier criticised Trump’s decision to bomb Iran, saying it felt “like a complete bait and switch to please the neocons, warmongers, military industrial complex contracts, and neocon tv personalities that MAGA hates and who were NEVER TRUMPERS!”
Meanwhile US bases in Iraq are under attack
Drone attacks Iraq’s Taji military base: Report
An unidentified drone attacked a site at Iraq’s Taji military base north of Baghdad, the Iraqi state news agency INA reported, citing a military official. There were no casualties, the official said.
The Drop Site investigative news outlet earlier posted video clips on X showing the purported explosion at the Taji military base.
Reports of drone attack near Baghdad airport
Iran’s Tasnim news agency is citing sources saying that the Victory Base Complex, a cluster of former US military installations in Baghdad International Airport in Iraq, has been hit by a drone attack.
Attack reported on Iraq’s Balad military base
The Balad military base in Iraq has come under attack, according to reports from the Kurdistan24 news channel, citing its correspondent in Baghdad.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage from the attack on the base, located in Iraq’s Salahuddin province about 100km (62 miles) north of the Iraqi capital.
Iran’s Tasnim news agency earlier reported that two explosions were heard inside the base, which previously served as the second-largest US base in Iraq.
Iraq’s Imam Ali base under attack: Report
The Al Sumaria TV network is reporting an attack on the radar systems at Imam Ali base in Iraq. The Baghdad-based television channel did not say who carried out the attack.
Imam Ali base is located in Iraq’s Dhi Qar governorate, just southwest of the provincial capital of Nasiriya.
And as of this moment missiles are still flying
Three killed in Israel’s Beersheba
The Times of Israel and YNet News are reporting that three people who were said to be in critical condition following a missile attack on the southern Israeli city have now been pronounced dead.
Footage from the scene, verified by Al Jazeera’s Sanad agency, shows damage to a multistory building and parked cars. Other footage taken from afar shows a huge cloud of smoke in the sky.
The report comes as sirens continue to blare across Israel amid a third wave of attacks. Israel says the missiles are from Iran. There’s been no comment from Iran so far.
Is there a ceasefire? At what time? Does Trump know about time zones?
It's 6:40 am in Israel now, 7:10 am in Tehran.
| Ryuu96 said: When asked how long the ceasefire would be, Trump said, "I think the ceasefire is unlimited. It's going to go forever." === Lol. |

"Never be shooting at each other again." "Unlimited" and "Forever" lasted less than 3 hours.

There's still a chance to salvage the Iran/Israel ceasefire though...I think.

Israeli PM refraining ‘from further strikes’ on Iran after call with Trump
Netanyahu’s office has released a statement addressing Israel’s latest military operations in Tehran.
The office said Israel’s military “destroyed a radar installation near Tehran” in retaliation to several earlier Iranian missile strikes that it described as “violations” of the truce.
But following a conversation with Trump, Netanyahu “refrained from further strikes”, according to the statement.
“In the call, President Trump expressed his deep appreciation for Israel, saying it had achieved all the objectives of the war. He also expressed confidence in the stability of the ceasefire,” it read.
The last bit is a blatant lie, but maybe Netanyahu will finally back down.
Iranian officials celebrate ceasefire ‘victory’ over Israel, US
Some Iranian authorities are already celebrating a win after Trump announced a ceasefire, despite the complications. Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref said the “victory” meant that Iran “broke the horn of the US and the West in the region” and showed them Iran’s power.
Mahdi Mohammadi, a top aide to parliament chief and former IRGC commander Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, also celebrated what he called a “major, history-making victory”. “A new era has begun,” he wrote on X.
Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, told state television that others must know no one can “uproot” the Iranian nuclear programme.
“Considering the capacities and abilities that we possess, the nuclear industry must persist, and it will not be stopped.”

IRGC says its last attack on Israel was launched before ceasefire started
Iran’s last wave of missiles against Israel was carried out minutes before a ceasefire implementation in response to deadly Israeli strikes, the IRGC has said in a statement reported by the semi-official Tasnim news agency.
It said 14 missiles were launched against military centres across Israel, adding that Iranian armed forces will continue to monitor “enemy movements with open and vigilant eyes”, Tasnim reported.
Fuckers with semantics, they surely landed after the ceasefire started...
Iranian media reports two explosions heard in Tehran (11:47 GMT)
Iran’s judiciary news outlet Mizan and the Shargh newspaper are both reporting that two explosions have been heard in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Hopefully that was the last (for now)
Seems to me that both Iranians and Israelis do know what they're doing though. Iranian wants to de-escalate and negotiate and Bibi wants to continue to escalate. Iran signed the deal that Trump wants them to sign now a decade ago before he ripped it apart. To me, it seems like it's only Trump who doesn't know what the fuck he's doing.
To quote Krystal from the Breaking point show today:
"I want people to really think about this. I want you to think about the way that the Iranians have been portrayed in mass American media certainly my entire life as this Nazi-esque, belligerent regime that the moment they got a nuke was going to come and blow up New York City.
The Iranians are the ones that de-escalated and created the possibility of de-escalation. Because our actions of dropping a dozen bunker-buster bombs on their nuclear facilities were incredibly inflammatory and escalatory.
Their reaction to that was to tell us, hey, listen, we got to do something in response to this. But here's where it's going to be. Here's when it's going to be. So we can just do a performative strike that is not going to actually cause any damage and certainly no casualties, so that we have a chance at taking the tensions down.
And yet we're supposed to believe that they are hell-bent on getting a nuclear weapon and that the second they do, they're going to drop it on Kansas or Missouri or New York City or whatever. Yet the people have been behaving like the biggest maniacs, psychopaths, and completely rogue regime that do actually have a secret nuclear program are the Israelis. They are the provocateurs here"
It really takes a lot to get me to defend Islamists but that's how ridiculously crazy Trump and Bibi are.
A brief review of what's actually been happening the last decade or so in Iran for those who are just tuning in.

Yeah the lies about Russia didn't work so well anymore, especially since the Ukraine genocide Russia's big existential threat to the world turned out to be nonsense. Plus Trump loves Putin so Iran had to be talked up to be the existential threat to the world.
US and Israel and Europe as well now need a foreign bogeyman, existential threat to keep the population backing their corrupt governments. There's always China, but China makes all our stuff... And since Netanyahu already has talked up Iran as Israel's perceived existential threat, US and Europe can now take over those talking points to make Iran an existential threat for the entire world. Just to defend their nonsense foreign policies, backing Israel no matter what to keep lining their own pockets.
Iran can certainly be a much better country and the people there deserve a better regime. But that simply doesn't happen under the strictest sanctions with continuous assassination attempts by Israel.
Progress and revolution come from stability and prosperity. Sanctions only support the stranglehold of the regime in power. And bombing a country only makes the people rally around the flag.
But that's exactly what Netanyahu wants. He can't have a moderate Iran as that would erase his power as well as the reason for Israel's existence...
