Can't say I remember Democrats saying Trump was racist for wanting to put travel restrictions on China. I see Trump made a false claim on Biden that Biden called him xenophobic for doing so, but here is what Biden actually said. All Dates in 2020. On the day the White House announced the travel restrictions, Biden did say at a campaign event in Iowa that as the pandemic unfolds, Americans “need to have a president who they can trust what he says about it, that he is going to act rationally about it.†He added, “This is no time for Donald Trump’s record of hysteria and xenophobia – hysterical xenophobia – and fearmongering to lead the way instead of science.†The Biden campaign says Biden’s “reference to xenophobia was about Trump’s long record of scapegoating others at a time when the virus was emerging from China,†and that he was not talking about the travel ban. On April 3, Biden’s campaign said Biden supported Trump’s decision to impose travel restrictions on China. “Joe Biden supports travel bans that are guided by medical experts, advocated by public health officials, and backed by a full strategy,†Kate Bedingfield, Biden’s deputy campaign manager, told CNN. “Science supported this ban, therefore he did too.†On ABC’s “This Weekâ€Â on April 5, Biden responded that while he agreed with the travel restrictions on China, he didn’t think the president acted with enough “urgency.†You got to go faster than slower. And we started off awfully slow. He indicated that I complimented him on  on dealing with China. Well, you know, 45 nations had already moved to keep  block China’s personnel from being able to come to the United States before the president moved. So, it’s just  it’s about pace. It’s about  it’s about the urgency. And I don’t think there’s been enough of it, urgency. Trump vax? You're speaking like Trump was personally inside the facilities himself, hand crafting the vaccine, Lmao. Sorry but this is complete nonsense, who the hell was taking pride is refusing the Pfizer vaccine except from anti-vax idiots...Who are mainly Trump supporters, yes, there's some idiot antivaxxers on the left too, but boy what revisionist history to make it seem like it was the Democrats who were antivax when it was actually in fact mostly Trump supporters. |
Funny how quickly people forget who the original antivaxers were. https://apnews.com/article/8790eda23e94aec7cf7b4beaaa67ceaf |
Washington Gov. Jay Inslee demonstrated the Democrats’ balancing act on Friday when asked whether he would be willing to take a vaccine released by the administration before the election. “If all the protocols had been followed and the evidence is in, of course, I’d follow science. It doesn’t matter when it happens,” Inslee told The Associated Press. “But I would have to look at the science, not Donald Trump. There isn’t one single thing I would ever trust from Donald Trump to be true.”
They have repeatedly cast doubt on Trump’s promises but pledged to follow the guidance of scientists and health care experts such as Dr. Anthony Fauci, the government’s top infectious disease specialist.
At the same time, most Americans worry that the political pressure from the administration will lead the Food and Drug Administration to rush to approve a coronavirus vaccine without making sure it’s safe and effective. That includes 85% of Democrats, 61% of independents and 35% of Republicans, according to Kaiser.
California Rep. Ami Bera, one of three Democratic physicians serving in the House of Representatives, said the modest drop in infections from the summer peak does not mean the nation has turned the corner, as Trump has suggested. He said a vaccine is critically important and welcomed one as soon as possible, as long as it’s deemed safe by science. “I don’t have any vaccine hesitancy. I know the immense power of vaccines. We are going to need a vaccine. I have no issue with taking a vaccine,” Bera said.
On Capitol Hill, Democrats are sticking with a simple, consistent message pushing for a vaccine as soon as possible, but not a moment earlier. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., on Friday praised the FDA scientists and researchers helming the vaccine initiative, but she has been highly critical of the Trump-appointed FDA commissioner. “We all hope and pray for a vaccine, and that will make a tremendous difference,” Pelosi said. “We don’t want it one day sooner than it is ready, from a safety and efficacy standpoint, and we don’t want it one day later,” she added. “Hopefully that will be soon.”

Where in this article does anything back up your statement that Democrats were "priding themselves on never taking the Trump vax." They all basically said the same thing, get the vaccine out ASAP but don't rush it, ensure it is safe but they will ultimately trusts whatever the scientists say and guess what, Trump isn't a scientist, so if the scientist said it was safe, they would accept that, Trump's opinion is irrelevant here.
