Vance is basically the bully's best friend, the bully is an asshole but often an idiot (like Trump) while the bully's best friend eggs on the bully (Trump) and antagonises the victim (Zelenskyy) and then when the victim fights back, the bully's best friend (Vance) hides behind the bully. That is exactly what happened yesterday with JD Vance. He is such a slimy bastard, I've never liked him and always thought he was an asshole but yesterday showed just how much of a POS he is, he knew full well what he was doing, Vance is dangerous.

He tried the same shit on Keir but Keir slapped him down and he immediately slinked back, Trump didn't jump to his defence that time because Trump apparently likes Keir and hates Zelenskyy because Zelenskyy didn't invent lies about Hunter Biden for Trump. But also Vance would have been smoked by Keir in a debate, instead he gangs up on the guy whose native language isn't English and still struggles with it. He's a coward but also I now see him as more dangerous than I originally thought he was, something very dark about Vance.

Trump berates Zelensky, the leader of a democratic country courageously fighting Russian imperialism, while he allies himself with Putin, a dictator who started the bloodiest European war in 80 years.

Rural Vermont is much different from rural Texas. I was in New England a couple of years ago (after a five day trek across the Laurentian corridor in Canada) and there were LGBTQ+ and trans flags and signs throughout small towns in NH, VT, and Maine. For all that people like to talk about the rural-urban divide, there's still a very strong North/South component to it. Oklahoma City and Jacksonville are similarly very different from New York City or Chicago. 

Not the worst red-state to be in (34th/50th in state funding for Medicaid and did decide to expand Medicaid with the ACA), but I feel for ya. Hopefully Mormonism> Trumpism in this instance, and Utah is actually pro-life rather than just rhetorically.

My genuine question is like...what is the end goal here? Clearly trump's a fool and bad for the country but there's no way that he's doing all this without SOME sort of grand plan in place. like, is he actively TRYING to make the whole world hate the US more than it already did? Globally the US has been a laughingstock as long as I can remember (At least the 90s, I was born in the 80s), but what can possibly be gained from this? 

IT doesn't make the US look good. HE threatens tarrifs but he has to know how harmful that will be to the US economy. He has to know he can't ACTUALLY annex Greenland or make canada the 51st state. He HAS to know....there's no way he's doing all this either without knowing or without being puppeted by another.

But there's no outcome that looks good for the nation from any perspective. What is the ACTUAL Goal. IGnorance and selfishness SEEMS to be the explanation (And Trump himself is a fucking clown), but there's no way all the people propping him up (Like Elon) don't know better and are STILL supporting him and pushing him. So honestly, what is the plan here? What is the goal? What is the desired outcome and how do they plan on getting it? 

The goal seems to be very simplistic, more wealth. It's all greed.

Ukraine didn't want to gift all their rare earth materials to the US, so Trump now wants it from Russia. Or wanted it from Russia all along as they have much more. That seems more likely as from the start Trump has done nothing but sabotage Ukraine, while giving concessions to Russia behind Ukraine's back.

Trump, Musk don't care about making the US look good, they only care about themselves and their net worth. Let Europe boycott Russia while Trumpmusk make money from Russia and remove all the 'hindrances' for billionaires in the US.

A lot, if not most, of his clowning are merely to distract attention and exhaust people. Worry about invading Canada, Mexico, Greenland, imminent tarrifs while Trump cozies up to Putin and funnels more money to the rich.

Trump wants to rebuild the production in USA big. For that, those new factories need to get all those cheap raw materials Russia and Ukraine have. I guess Trump thinks cheap materials from them is the way to achieve this goal much easier. Everything he does with Russia and Ukraine is about USA's economy and to make USA's billionaires happy. He doesn't care about anything else in this war. He doesn't care to also push USA's biggest enemy to new heights with this, he doesn't give a shit about anyone on this planet losing their home or about how many lives he could save or destroy. Dollar signs is everything for him

Russia, Ukraine, Canada, Greenland... that's what he's all about and that's all places with huge resources of raw materials
