Forums - Nintendo - Even in the heated search for Wii's people are still picky

So here's the story, we got in a lot of Wii's last week including one used Wii at my store, we sold out of the new ones as usual, when people ask for Wii's we tell them we got one, they come up to the store and see the used Wii and are like "meh I'll wait for a new one to come in" and now it's been sitting there for over a week now, the usual 20 calls a day for a Wii but not a single one wanting to buy the used one.

One funny thing though the first day we got in our new Wii's we didn't sell a single one, got all the calls like always told em we had them in stock that they may want to rush to get it (as we had expected them to be gone) but then not a single one of the callers came up to the store, my friend said "I guess these people were told no so many times they think we're lying to them" but the next day they were all gone so maybe word just had to spread.

Eh, I think it's a general stereotype among people that used things break easily. Not sure though, you might as well mention a warranty or something...

When an item is used, you have to ask, "Why doesn't the previous owner want it anymore?"

The answer could simply be that the previous owner doesn't like the Wii's library or had to scrape up $200 in a hurry, or the answer could be that the console's warranty is up and it crashes after 30 minutes of use.

aww, why would anyone want to sell their wii?

I guess people don't want a used wii because they might be afraid that it might break easily, I have my wii under 2 years warranty, because I want my wii to last a long time
