100.000 fans gave up on the possible existence of Shenmue 3, they all wanted it so much but knew it was an impossible dream....So yeah ofcourse the announcement was huge, the fact that the game could exist was the dream coming true, similar vibe with Nintendo fans who gave on the Gamecube and accepted that Nintendo was going to stay kiddo and bam then a amazing looking Twilight dreams was announced....Or similar when a new New half life was announced even being VR did not matter...

Mentioned a few times before but Sony so far could be rated an 8.5/10 for this generation and they still would try to aim for a 10/10 while MS gives the impression they are only aiming for a 6/10 and are fine with it.

If by releasing the same game over and over with slightly updated graphics means aiming for 10/10 then yeah..

After reading some of your opinions I’ve decided to change my own and say in-fact it’s Nintendo who has the best showing the last couple years.

Honestly, for my tastes they tend to have the worst showings of the 3. Some directs I don't see a single game that interests me, and even on the better ones I only see like 4 games that interest me, and some of those 4 or so are usually multiplats I can play on Xbox instead of Switch.

Yet they somehow get the highest ratings on this website lmao.

And Sony better have a great showcase they haven't had anything in like a year plus for an actual proer showcase

Beat Crash 4: It's About Noble this weekend.

Probably my favorite crash game. Levels did sometimes go a little too long, but the environments, and gameplay mechanics were sound. Loved the extra characters and use of 2/3 of the characters. Enjoyed the timeline levels that give a different perspective. Very challenging especially if you ever want to get 100%. Kind of seems they were overcompensating on difficulty to reach the heights of the first game.

Cutscenes were enjoyable too. Cortex Castle was a bitch.. died 85 times on that level.

Insomniac tweeted about Sunset Overdrive.... Would love a sequel, but wouldn't really care if it's just a ps5 remaster. They got a lot on their plates, but they are PS' Obsidian in terms of efficiency and quality.

wouldn't mind if it got a ps5 port but I aint going to lie, a Sunset overdrive 2 would evoke a butthurt so strong within me

Insomniac was such an S tier purchase

Is it too late to do one?

No, it isn't too late, literally zero credible leaks so far.

Alright, I'll make one tomorrow then.

Starting Spongeboob and getting mentally prepared for the funeral on Wednesday.

Out of curiosity, what is everyone hoping to see at the Xbox Showcase that would make you personally feel like the showcase is a success? Like once it’s over, you’re feeling good about Xbox’s future.

As a bonus, what do you specifically want to see during the Starfield Direct that will make you stoked for Starfield’s release?

Hmmm, I'm not sure if there is any single thing. I've been feeling increasingly let down by Xbox over the past couple of years honestly, at this point I feel like they need to do alot to convince me that Xbox is going to start going in the right direction.

Some of the things I want to see:

-Acknowledgement that Xbox's hardware manufacturing capabilities have been poor and assurance that Xbox shipments are going to pick up massively soon. I want to hear them say that they are going to be making alot more X units moving forward, including Starfield bundles, and I also need to see the first price cut for Series S announced, as it's sales just aren't going to pick up at $300.

-Assurance that the Japan/Asia situation is going to improve, and I don't mean a slow trickle, I want to see big progress. I need to see multiple late JP/Asia ports I have been waiting for on Xbox like Genshin Impact/Honkai Star Rail from Mihoyo, FF7R, Trials of Mana Remake, Sakura Wars, and more. I want to see a big JP 2nd party exclusive announced, and/or a JP studio acquisition announced. I want to see quite a few JP games on the Gamepass roadmap for the year that they show.

-Good graphics on multiple first party games. For basically an entire decade Xbox has been content to allow Sony to hold the first party graphics crown, with the only real exceptions being Gears and the Forza vs GT graphics battle that Forza consistently wins. Other Sony exclusives like TLOU 2 and Horizon and God of War have largely mopped the floor with similar Xbox exclusives for the last decade. Xbox Series X is the most powerful console this gen, I want to see that power properly taken advantage of by their 1st party.

-I need to see a significant improvement for Gamepass overall if I'm going to stay subbed permanently instead of only subbing on months where a game drops that I want to play. The downgrade on Gamepass has been very noticeable over the last year or so. We are getting AAA additions less and less often, JP additions less and less, the total number of games added per month has shrunk from around 16-20 down to around 10-12 for most of this year, yet there was no noticeable increase in quality alongside the decrease in quantity. Feels like Sony's PS+ mid tier has been getting stronger and stronger while Gamepass has felt weaker and weaker for my gaming tastes.

-Starfield's showing needs to impress. While there has been alot of do-or-die hyperbole around Starfield by the gaming press and much of the gaming public ever since Redfall flopped, there is some merit to that argument that Starfield needs to be amazing. Xbox needs a massive hit right now, their image needs it, their ability to sell hardware needs it, and we fans need to see an Xbox win badly, just to keep our morale up. To answer your Starfield question, we need to see some fun gameplay footage, but also we need to see that some of Digital Foundry's graphical concerns from last E3 have been improved, and that there is a 60 fps mode available on console, anything less will be considered a huge fail by many in the wake of Redfall's lackluster graphics and framerate on release.

-Xbox's 1st and 2nd party in general needs to impress. Avowed, Fable, Hellblade 2, Outer Worlds 2, Perfect Dark, Contraband, these are all games that need to be shown on the conference and need to impress people. Xbox needs hype for their upcoming lineup after Starfield, people need to be excited for games that will be releasing over the next 2.5 years or so.

Continual Japanese support, big criticism is missing games. Few surprises first party wise from studios we haven't heard much from, gameplay from a few as well. Release dates as well. Anything from Fable.

Bonus would be studios, but big X on that one.

Isn't Starfield done? Isn't it like Zelda where they are taking the year to polish the game? As long as it runs technically well, I'm good. I expect bugs as it's a big game, but nothing game breaking.
