Are Redfall reviews dropping tomorrow? I haven't heard anything.

Review embargo is set for May 1st at 8:01 pm EST.  Not sure about the :01 significance. lol

Looking at the release schedule, that’s simultaneously with the actual launch of the game lol. Technically 1 minute after the game launches

No interest in Redfall but downloaded it, Arkane games have a great production quality but gameplay/world can be a hit and miss.

So watching DF analysis on the PS5 version of Star Wars Jedi Survivor, I believe we can see why Unreal 4 games that really try to do anything with lighting struggle to hit 60fps and probably the same issue Redfall is suffering. ITs one of the thing I noticed is that most of these games that ship with 60fps on Unreal 4 rarely if ever rally hold 60fps and most times its a really inconsistent FPS including frame times.

After taking arguably the biggest L of the past Xbox series generation with the blocking of ABK. What are yall's predictions for this week's L of the week?

Easy bet for me is Redfall low 70s meta.

Either low 70s or some disastrous  launch, bugs, servers etc

If Arkane misses I would wonder what went wrong.

Would think that maybe Redfall started out as a multiplayer focused or only title, as after a series of flops, Bethesda pushed their studios to focus more on Multiplayer, then once the Xbox acquisition happened and under the new financial security they deviated back and tried to change it back into a traditional Arkane single-player focused title which may cause a title which lacks focus.

The interviews went from it's multiplayer focused to it being rammed down our throats that it can be played single-player just fine, Lol.

We'll see soon, I don't look forward to the level-headed takes from some if it hits ~low 70s though, Lol.

Definitely wouldn’t be the best start to their $70 price tag endeavors either

Kingdom Hearts Diary Day 28: Started KH 3. Graphics are much improved (they better be coming from ps2 era). Story makes no sense (shocked). I really enjoyed the first big boss battle with the titan and the crazy over the top y command like summons like the rollercoaster. Losing out on being able to open the minimap is a pain in the ass not going to lie... They took a lot from past games and tweaked them. Like the flowmotion being less finicky and the rapid shotlocks as well. Just wish you could expand the map. Definitely a lot of on screen commands, little too much at times tbh.

Finally getting a toy story world was nice, did feel it dragged a little too long, but really enjoyed the presentation aspects. Tangled world was very solid too. Rapunzel had some great humor and character shown; a strong female lead, one of the best sub stories in the worlds so far.

On to one of my favorite Disney movies in Monsters Inc.

Seemed like forced raytracing on the performance mode is a big part of why it fails to hold a more consistent framerate. Respawn would be smart to patch in SSR for performance mode, that alone would add at least 10 fps to their performance mode. I don't see Redfall having raytracing on the performance mode thankfully, I'd rather say that S was struggling and they delayed 60 fps on S and X until they can get S performance mode up to snuff.

Yeah, that's not too surprising, pretty much every Zenimax/Bethesda game for the last 7 years or so has had it's review embargo dropped at launch, they decided to stop doing early reviews after Fallout 4 underperformed in reviews in 2015, Dishonored 2 and Skyrim Special Edition in 2016 were the first Bethesda published games to have the review embargo drop at release instead of early, and I believe every Bethesda game since has had the embargo drop at launch. Afaik they don't even send out early copies anymore, so critics will be playing at launch like the rest of us, so the earliest scored reviews will probably be 2 days after launch, those posted earlier will be reviews in progress.
