The market leader trying to destroy the competition strikes again.

And No, buying a studio isn't even worse as money hatting.

Buying a studio shows that you want to grow your business, that you want to take care of the studio and their employees and everything what's part of owning a studio.

Money hatting is only to fuck up your competitor and for nothing else. Sure, you could argue that this would be also about growing your business but you don't give a fuck about the developer with this. It's just about taking conent away. That's not the only reason when you buy a developer

How Embracer makes its money back.

Warner Bros/New Line Signs New Deal with Embracer for More "Lord of The Rings/The Hobbit" Films

Lol.

I'm happy with this. As recently as a month or so ago we heard that Embracer's Middle Earth Enterprises (which they acquired from the Zaentz company last summer) was trying to get the LOTR/Hobbit rights back from WB so that they could sell the whole shebang to Amazon (they only have 2nd age rights currently). Considering how badly Amazon screwed up the 2nd Age with Rings of Power, I didn't want them anywhere near the rest of the Middle-Earth rights. Modern WB isn't great, but they are at least better than Amazon.
