Wow, this shit looks absolutely terrible, like a bad AI phone filter that falls completely apart in motion. Not to mention it ruins the original design the artist intended for the character. It even does Buccal fat removal on the new Resident Evil girl. Hell nah.

Funny but I like 90% of the face "improvements" in the DLSS 5 video everyone seems to hate but it needs to recognize better how some stuff isn't just "bad graphics" but design decisions and this doesn't need to look more real then. But I really don't like most of the lighting stuff which tries to let every game look the same. If the original game has more of a warm or cold color palette, in this video it just tries to let it look like a photo without filter of the reality but some of the games want to look as if they have a filter

Edit: I was talking about the Digital Foundry video with a lot of environmental shots and not this one from Shika.

I mean, come on now with the AI hate lol

It is not perfect, but it is not "terrible" and it does some cool stuff esp for the football game, the face are not bad at all and look actually better...
Seriously, people need to chill out. Everything is either amazing or terrible these days. And even worse, if there is any ‘AI’ mentioned it is trash by default because it is cool to hate AI right now (even if most of it has nothing to do with LLM and AI stuff has always been used in video games)

Looks fine to me.  Lets not get all bunched up because they are calling it AI.  All its doing is a rendering trick using software.  I think about it no different than all the other rendering tricks developers have at their disposal today.  Just like with any of Nvidia technologies, it probably will get a lot of feedback and go through iterations to make it better.
