Finished Star Ocean The Divine Force.

Oh boy I expected a lot more from this.

god awful character design (that one was expected as that is what the series is basically known for), mediocre graphics, noticeable performance drops even in performance mode, incredibly poor team AI, ancient game design in general, tons of backtracking, side mission fetch quest galore, repeating animations during cut scenes, not being able to do anything that involve menus (save game, talk to vendors, fast travel) when characters are bantering.

Haven't played a game that feels like playing a 6th gen game in a long time. Looks like tri-ace just doesn't want to evolve.

Star Ocean the second story was Goat but then it went downhill, it meant something when we had not that many Jrpg's but now it is an easy to skip franchise

Also how do we feel about Ghost of Yotei?

Edit: I have a prediction— there’s a team within TFB currently working on a Skylanders project. It’s a franchise I know they’ve been desperate to return to (Skylanders was the franchise that sent their studio into the mainstream, after all), and with the resurgent push on Skylanders merchandise recently as well as a return of some Skylander YT-bers (who were deeply involved in the marketing of Skylanders product during the early-to-mid 2010s) making videos on this new merch… I can absolutely see it.

I also believe a majority of TFB is working on Spyro 4. And Rare is…um…I’m not really sure what Rare even is anymore. It’s completely different from its 90s roots, and hasn’t developed a platformer in over a decade IIRC. 

GTA 6 releasing next November no doubt has Microsoft panicking in regards to holiday release windows for CoD 2026, Halo: CE remake (November 15th is the 25th anniversary) Forza Horizon 6, and maybe even Gears of War: E-Day and Fable.

Not to mention other high profile releases like Wolverine in Holiday 2026, and NOW, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra was just announced for Holiday 2026 as well

I could see Forza Horizon 6 releasing in the Spring and Fable in the Summer. Gears of War: E-Day could be a September release. CoD 2026 could also release in October. Halo Campaign Evolved if it wants to launch on the anniversary that would be November 15th as you stated. Microsoft might move that to early November. 

Add Pokémon Wind/Waves on top of 3D Mario, and you have a storm unlike anything ever seen in the industry. (Though TBF this assmes GTAVI actually releases in November next year… which is quite doubtful.)
