Give me an ROG Xbox Ally-like experience in the UI/UX in a super powerful console form factor, with more of my Xbox library (through a combination of Play Anywhere and Emulation) and I'll be there day one.

Didn't Sarah Bond set up a new emulation team a year or so ago? Imo, they're researching how to emulate Xbox videogames on PC. I think it should be technologically feasible, there's nothing about it which sounds impossible, the only issue is licenses and convincing publishers to allow people to play their Xbox library on *technically* a PC, Lol.

I think the PC handheld will be a springboard on the UI/UX side and they'll eventually bring this slimmed down Windows Gaming OS/Xbox UI/UX to Windows PC. And then people will eventually be installing the Xbox Experience onto their PCs too, Lol.

It’s pretty funny how the Xbox division was given the keys to the Windows kingdom

We always heard about how stingy the Windows division was when it came to the Xbox app/Microsoft Store and not letting the Xbox division handle that aspect of Windows, but I’m sure that decision was made when Satya agreed to buy ABK to put this long term plan in motion. Windows is clearly the key to Xbox’s future.

Windows team has been floundering for years, their arrogance is undeserved, Lol. They're lucky that they're an entry route into Microsoft's other huge money makers like Office and Azure. It sounds like Xbox is finally being shown proper respect by the Windows Team and actually working together but that'll happen when Microsoft Gaming becomes a $20bn+ division and matches Windows in revenue, Lmao. Windows is probably still higher in hierarchy than the Microsoft Gaming but at least it seems like they aren't being dicks anymore so...Progress! Lol.

I don't think a few years ago we would have heard about how the Xbox UI/UX is coming to Windows, or the rumours of an Xbox/PC Hybrid or that there's a stripped back Gaming focused Windows coming with a focus on Xbox that cuts out all the extra Windows junk, Lol. Windows of 5-10 years ago would have probably told Xbox to piss off and demand they use full fledge Windows with no strip backs, the Windows Store and probably wouldn't have cared about optimising for Gaming because their mindset is "Enterprise!"

Good overview and breakdown in explanations.

Triggers me that they went 10 to 1 instead of 1 to 10

The Xbox team gained credibility 25 years ago when they demonstrated Windows booting up instantly on the OG Xbox, or at-least the Kernel running a custom UI... And Gates was amazed and literally asked them why PC's can't do it.

Since; Windows has been hit or miss, but the Xbox OS team have never dropped the ball, the Xbox One's OS was incredible software engineering that enabled things like backwards compatibility efficiently with multi-tasking, kinect and more in just a few gigabytes of Ram.
Sony had to use an entire extra ARM CPU and extra 256MB DDR3 Ram in the PS4 just to match that.

The Xbox OS Team being involved in optimizing gaming for Windows is only going to be a good thing in my eyes, they have some incredible software engineers that are passionate and know their stuff... And most of all, have proven their worth already.

Now I just want Microsoft to standardize A.I upscaling in Direct X so we can abstract things like FSR, XESS and DLSS so that game developers just target Direct X and then it doesn't matter what GPU you have, the upscaler takes over seamlessly.

This honestly makes sense. If Xbox is already making a unified version of Windows that has that console-like experience, then having their own first-party handheld in an already crowded market with the likes of Asus, MSI, Lenovo, Valve even (since you can install Windows on your Steam Deck) etc. it doesn't really make much sense lol.

I wonder if the overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding the ROG Xbox Ally ultimately led to this decision. The biggest thing will be how the emulation works for Xbox console games.

Yeah, I'd call it the internet trap.
Texts on the internet are often filled with false emotions.

The human reactions of an actual audience would be closer to reality.

Hey, I think a lot of toxic Xbox fans are Trump followers, is this a coincidence🙄?

Finished the main story of Saints Row in under 10 hours lol.

Still some stuff left to do and the DLCs which look rather short.

The metascore (61) is pretty much on point. I'm still not 100% sure but I would score it in the 60-69 range thus far.

Main story is far too short an uneventful honestly. Side characters (your crew) are pretty boring. Only a couple of missions I would consider to be on the same level as previous Saints Row games.

On a technical level it's a complete mess. It's not really a good looking game but still riddled with performance issues no matter which of the (6 I think?) graphic modes you choose from. Still has quite a few, even game breaking bugs where I had to reload the checkpoint. Tons of pop in and loads of cars simply despawning right in front of you.

Shooting control are insanely bad. Driving is no fun at all, you get 0 feedback from the controller (no rumble or anything).

If you're looking for something dumb to play then maybe it's worth it.
