what a disappointing announcement.

Bethesda is the only thing keeping Microsoft relevant.

Weird reaction, Lol. Not sure how you quantify that as well. But either way, Microsoft is Bethesda now, Bethesda is Microsoft, how long is it going to take before we stop arbitrarily separating them in a way that we don't do with individual studios? Lol.

Even if we do randomly separate them just to make a moody point, Bethesda is releasing two titles in 2025, Xbox Game Studios is releasing five and Activion-Blizzard is releasing two, of those releases, if we're talking strictly of relevancy, Call of Duty is the biggest by far, Lol. The Outer Worlds 2 is a sequel to a game played by 5m+ and Ninja Gaiden is a follow-up to a beloved IP. Gears 1 Remaster whilst disappointing it isn't Gears 2-3 as well (can blame insiders for those expectations), will likely be a big hit on Steam and PlayStation as it's the first time it is releasing there.

Doubleeeee Fineeeeeee.

I'm honestly surprised Hellblade 2 hasn't been announced to be ported yet. Quickly coming up on a year.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

They'll probably drop another 20 ports in a single month in the Holiday I can't see any way they don't have a record breaking Q4 now so they can chill out and start planning for the next fiscal year, Lol.

Couldn't find a cure disease on touch so I made my own, named it "Jesus Christ" and now I'm going to cure all diseased beggars I see Also gave it the maximum magnitude possible for no reason at all other than to make it a costly spell cause I'm Jesus Christ!

Hopefully never. Have you never talked about different teams within even the same studio such as Arcane Austin and Lyon?

Why can't I talk about sub divisions?

Within a time frame of 6 months Bethesda released Indiana Jones, Oblivion and the upcoming Doom. Two of them being at least GOTY candidates. You're talking about 5 XGS releases in a year of which one is a 2nd party game (why would I even count that?), one is a remaster of a remaster and one that could still be delayed into the next year. And the two they have released this year hardly set the gaming world on fire.

Fucking hell, you cure two beggars and now I want to make a pure mage character.

I am seriously considering making a bearded older dude in worn out robes and calling him Jesus Christ. Lmao.

63 or 73 hours in my hero Breton (I forgot what it said, Lol) and 25 hours in my villain Wood Elf.

Haven't done Thieves Guild, Main Quest, Knights of the Nine, Shivering Isles.

Went back to my hero Breton because in order to do the last Daedric Shrine (Mora) you need to reach a certain point in the story, I want to get there with my hero character first but I'm also a bit disappointed because I was roleplaying my evil character as having just fucked off with the Amulet of Kings, I still haven't handed it over, Lmao. Suppose I'm going to have to hand it over now though and actually help to a certain point...

My Hero character will be doing the main quest at level 30...Going to be a nightmare but at the same time I think that makes it better, it really just feels more epic when you're fighting the most powerful Daedra instead of shitty scamps trying to take over Tamriel, Lol. But keeping people alive will be a nightmare, I don't have to worry about that with my evil character but my good one...Sigh, Lol.

It's silly to separate them Imho, Xbox is Bethesda and Bethesda is Xbox, if Xbox didn't own Bethesda it would have been someone else, Xbox plans around Bethesda because Xbox is Bethesda now, Lol. We separate studios like Arkane Austin and Lyon in terms of them having two completely different teams but that's different from what you are doing.

'Microsoft is only relevant because an Microsoft owned studio is making it relevant' - Sure, okay, Lol.

It's like saying prior "Xbox is only relevant because of 343i, Turn 10, Mojang, Rare, Obsidian, etc...Making them relevant" I mean, see how silly that sounds? Lol. And before you say "It's different, those are individual studios, Bethesda is a publisher" a publisher is ultimately just a collection of individual studios. Xbox has owned Bethesda for 5 years now, it's about time we stop needlessly separating them.

It's like you can't count anything Bethesda does or Activision-Blizzard does for...Reasons...And using an Xbox owned studio to...Mock Xbox...

"Why would I even count that?" - Because 2nd party isn't an official term in the industry and published titles have been counted for years now but suddenly they're an issue? XGSP comes under XGS and XGSP is involved in Ninja Gaiden 2. But sure, I suppose now we're ignoring all published titles, for reasons, Lol.

"One could be delayed into the next year" - Which? Based on what? Pure speculation based on nothing aside from wanting to be pessimistic? Lol.

Those two didn't set the world on fire sure, still good games.

But I will come back to your original point of relevancy, and I will say again, if it's pure relevancy that you're after, Call of Duty beats every single game that you're talking about, Lol. Call of Duty beats Oblivion Remaster and Doom combined in relevancy, if we're strictly speaking relevancy. So I suppose we can say "Bethesda...And Activision-Blizzard are the only thing keeping Microsoft relevant"...And Minecraft Also Forza Horizon 5 currently dominating PS store, and Sea of Thieves consistently having strong legs.

The Outer Worlds 2 is a sequel to a 5m+ seller but no shit it's not as relevant as Oblivion Remaster, one of the biggest IPs in the world, Lol.

Why would MS take a hit when it's very evident that they have moved on from the console war.  If MS cared, they would have priced dropped the Series X and S a long time ago if they really felt they could make up any market against Sony or Nintendo.  That ship has sailed, and MS has moved on.  Once most of you realize this than you can see where their direction is headed and it's not as a console OEM.

My bet is that MS drop out of being a console provider and concentrate on building their gaming platform on their strength which is the PC.  Maybe they try going Valve route where you can put your PC into a Xbox gaming mode and deliver a console experience on a PC.

because it's the main driver for gamepass? I see the direction and I don't like it, I would like to continue buying xbox consoles but it's pretty clear they wont be a thing soon.

The problem everytime MS makes a move you guys do not agree with is that you continue to believe MS cares about what you care about.  Its evident MS doesn't believe the Xbox in the future will be the main driver for GP because if they did, they would be making discounts to at least attempt to gain marketshare and they would not be releasing games on PS and Nintendo.  MS believe that GP doesn't need a main console platform but that doesn't mean MS believe that they do not need a piece of hardware.  Its just not going to be a console in the general sense, its going to be a PC.
