As I expected for South of Midnight, high praise for the story, visuals, music, etc. Essentially all the "artistic" stuff but the combat/platforming is a big mark against it and dragging some reviews down hard. Sitting at 81 OpenCritic right now after only 33 reviews but I suspect it will drop somewhere in the 70s but that would still be a big improvement over Contrast and We Happy Few for the studio.
It's only ~10 hours long though so I'll likely force my way through the combat/platforming if it's that bad just for the story, visuals, music, Lol. 70s isn't a bad score at all either, a pretty solid score, so it can't be that bad. I'm likely going to buy the upgrade as it's only £10 via Game Pass and is pretty damn good value for what it comes with so I feel like they deserve it.

Hopefully they're done growing from a studio standpoint and can just pump out cool artistic titles like this from now on but with an improvement on gameplay.

It's not the only game on Gamepass
Now Avowed and SoM are out of the way, both scoring strong, onto Oblivion Remaster and Doom. 🙌
