Interested in Outer Worlds 2.

I'm planning to play the first one soon.

First one was great! Clever and funny writing with colorful/bright art direction. Really its biggest flaw was in the "meh" looking graphics and combat being okay. I recommend the original version of the game rather than the "Spacer's Choice" edition of the game. In hindsight, Spacer's Choice was the perfect name for the "remaster" which you'll find out why after playing the game lol

It is not because I am happy Ps is doing well for its fans that I don't want Xbox and Nintendo to do the same.  if Xbox is doing so well then why is the community clearly not happy, Why are so many abandoning Xbox what about the sales? etc? What about all those xbox fans like klobrille etc who clearly were multiple times dissapointed with xbox and its decisions this year?

Oh and Geoff was always their for the gamers and games, he was with Halo 3, Gears etc and he is most infamous picture is the with Doritos and Halo 4 stand..

I think there is a difference between not being happy with some decision and constantly finding something wrong with everything they do/say (even when it is a good thing). Maybe it is just me but I see you complaining about almost everything Xbox does... Even if it is a good thing you find a way to turn it to a bad thing...

And you keep saying the community is "unhappy" and sales are showing it; sales is not really different than Xbox One (where the shit really did hit the fan, and people were unhappy). There is nothing showing that Xbox fans are leaving the platform at all. Of course you will see some Xbox enthusiasts unhappy. that's a given for any platform; but overall, I do not think Xbox fans are unhappy...

Do they/I want more? Of course lol

The thing with Play Station is that they have 75%+ of the market. Whatever they do will ALWAYS be seen as better; even if they clearly are screwing their user more than the other 2 at the end (money wise). If BOTH were going to make the same exact decision, I guarantee you that Sony would not receive the same shit than Microsoft (and mostly because Sony fans are going to shit on Xbox for it and as they are way more out there, it is inevitably going to sound way bigger than it is)

And no, Geoff may like other studios/publisher in the industry but he definitely favor Sony. Since years...

I got both on Steam - both from bundles.

The content is pretty much the same between the two versions right?

I heard the level cap is higher, but thats pretty much it right?

Another difference I remember from the ad is a noticeable change to its visuals.  The original indulged in oversaturated colors too much (partly due to implementing colorblind accessibility during development), so that's scaled back in Spacer's Choice.  You can see the color grading differences in the trailer.

Indiana Jones has the best "continue" in a game.

Yeah, it was just implemented poorly, so the remaster ended up being worse than the original in some ways, thus making it called "Spacer's Choice" a very accurate title lol

Damn that sucks.

I already have all the DLC on the original so I might as well play that - I'll play the spacer choice version later.

Wonder if Xbox will ever do two Developer Directs in a year? Maybe not, they already have a bunch of events now and it could interfere with that, but then again Developer Directs aren't about new announcements but deep dives, though it may be too much planning and hassle because the 2nd would be too close to E3 but you could have something like...

January Developer Direct (Q1/Q2)

  • Avowed
  • South of Midnight
  • Doom
  • Something Else

July Developer Direct (Q3/Q4)

  • The Outer Worlds 2
  • Fable
  • Call of Duty
  • Something Else

May not be there just yet, as Developer Direct tends to have 4-5 titles in it, but sometime in the future.

But then, last Developer Direct they had a 3rd party in it, so a slot could easily be filled by an anticipated 3rd party in both cases.

Geoff is very easily to identify as someone who thinks like:

anything Kojima > Sony > rest
