It does seem like Sony may have just sent engineers to Game Science to help development of the PS5 version rather than contractual obligation. But further clarification that there isn't actually development issues going on the Xbox port. The game was just optimized for PS5 faster because Sony provided the resources to do so. This kind of goes along with my post earlier about Xbox becoming reactive rather than proactive. Sony saw the potential that Wukong was going to have and did something it about despite not being obligated to do so, whereas Xbox saw a game go viral, and then decided to do something about it.
