Not for everyone but I LOVE the floating numbers. I like to optimize my build/gears in RPGs and having the numbers is really cool.
Like many game there is probably an option to disable it for those who do like that but this is really cool to see it in game.

I really like how colorful the game is; like POE/POE2. This is going to be amazing. My only issue now is that Civ 7 will be around at the same time :D They fixed my problem of too many games for this winter to just do the same in Feb! Awwwww

Floating numbers are pretty important in RPGs because every weapon, armor piece, etc has different stats. So seeing what damage numbers different combinations/builds do is what lets you optimize and allows for further experimentation. It's a pretty key part in RPGs but a lot of people are tired of seeing them because sooooooo many different games try to incorporate RPG elements when they really don't have to lol. So turning them off in an actual RPG ruins the flow of the gameplay.

I love how colorful the game is too! I'm at the point where I'm not as wowed by the best graphics as I used to be. I'm more drawn to unique and vibrant art styles, and Avowed is shaping up to be exactly that! With even more polish as Obsidian is getting a lot of extra time to work on the game. I'm waiting to see how Civ 7 turns out lol. I was disappointed at how much of a step back Civ 6 was, and with Civ 7 also launching on Switch, I have a bad feeling it's going to be even more stripped down both mechanically and graphically. I'm very optimistic about Ara: History Untold though next month!

I always go into my settings for all RPG's and make it display all numbers, I also activate all friendly and enemy health bars.

...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.

I wonder how third party support for Xbox will look like in some years when MS doesn't seem to care to tell everyone that a PS/Switch2 will also get even big Xbox games so that PS/Switch2 will get a much bigger library of quality games as Xbox itself.

I mean, right now MS is like "we have more players than ever" and seems happy even with low console sales but how should this look in the future? Will third party game even release on a next Xbox if it will sell even less as this gen? How low can your sales be to still get the support of most devs? Xbox consoles sales are already "dead" in many countries and that's mostly because MS never even tried. Low sales means less retailers will sell the consoles and so on...

Not every dev will release their games on Gamepass so that game sales will be essential for them. Right now MS does everything they can to widen the gap between potential PS and Xbox console sales for the next decade.

I personally don't really care anymore if there even will be a next Xbox console but if there will be then there's just no way around trying something completely different because they killed every chance to even reach Xbox Series sales with a next console if it's a "normal" machine.

It really needs to be something which will be able to play third party games even with very low sales numbers or like many already believe some type of handheld but that can also completely fail and isn't a give to succeed.

I find it interesting how some time ago Phil once again lied to his own (Xbox) fans and now confirmed at Gamescom that more Xbox games will be released on Playstation 5. The picture fits xD

I am going to help you here because you waste your time trying to pin any business on any previous statement.  Its like being a parent.  You promise your kid you are going to Disney Land but you get hit with a financial problem that changes things in a big way.  Once that happens, you have to shift focus and change plans because those plans are no longer going to work.  As always, MS is a business concerned about making money more than making you happy and once you realize this you will stop caring about C Level execs making promises they cannot keep but instead either like their product or not like it.

Its evident that MS is looking to stock GP with their own content more than from others.  The biggest issue is marketshare more than anything else.  How many consoles or hardware do MS need to sell to insure that 3rd party developers continue to support their hardware.  When the next gen arrives we will see how well it sells to understand that question but right now who knows.  Who even knows if their next system will be higher cost or not.  Everything is total speculation because no one really knows what the heck MS future plans are, only that they will release another piece of hardware.
