Not for everyone but I LOVE the floating numbers. I like to optimize my build/gears in RPGs and having the numbers is really cool.
Like many game there is probably an option to disable it for those who do like that but this is really cool to see it in game.

I really like how colorful the game is; like POE/POE2. This is going to be amazing. My only issue now is that Civ 7 will be around at the same time :D They fixed my problem of too many games for this winter to just do the same in Feb! Awwwww

Floating numbers are pretty important in RPGs because every weapon, armor piece, etc has different stats. So seeing what damage numbers different combinations/builds do is what lets you optimize and allows for further experimentation. It's a pretty key part in RPGs but a lot of people are tired of seeing them because sooooooo many different games try to incorporate RPG elements when they really don't have to lol. So turning them off in an actual RPG ruins the flow of the gameplay.

I love how colorful the game is too! I'm at the point where I'm not as wowed by the best graphics as I used to be. I'm more drawn to unique and vibrant art styles, and Avowed is shaping up to be exactly that! With even more polish as Obsidian is getting a lot of extra time to work on the game. I'm waiting to see how Civ 7 turns out lol. I was disappointed at how much of a step back Civ 6 was, and with Civ 7 also launching on Switch, I have a bad feeling it's going to be even more stripped down both mechanically and graphically. I'm very optimistic about Ara: History Untold though next month!
