Phil waiting for Todd to make a new Fallout

They really need to do something here. Phil said TES 6 is 2028 at the earliest in court as I recall, so we're probably looking at like 2035 at the earliest for Fallout 5 as things stand. They have the remaster of Fallout 3 coming if last year's leak was to be believed, so that is something at least, but they really need to get a new game out sooner than 2035.
Way I see it is they have a 2 main options:
1. Let Obsidian make a new Fallout once Avowed is released, with the Outer Worlds 2 team moving to assist as well once Outer Worlds 2 has released. Josh Sawyer can direct if he is interested (might not be as he seems burnt out on AAA), if he isn't one of their other directors could do it. Obsidian would probably be able to get a Fallout game out by around 2029 of they start as soon as Avowed is released.
2. Bethesda can expand into at least 2 main teams, something they really need to do since they have 3 core IP now. With expansion simultaneous development on TES 6 and Fallout 5 can happen, and then simultaneous development on Fallout 5 and Starfield 2 after TES 6 releases. If they start this expansion immediately, they can probably reach two fully staffed main development teams within about 1-1.5 years, and have Fallout 5 released by around 2031 probably.

Pretty much lmao. Why I was complaining about Todd being overly controlling with Fallout and TES IP, we're getting one game a decade from them at this point (although we MIGHT get two this decade if TES VI actually makes it this decade but that's a BIG if . Someone needs to convince Todd to let go and let other studios make some Fallout and TES games.
* Mainline games
I picked Surface, although I have limited knowledge of the Fallout franchise to base my decision on.
My thought is that if I were transported to the Fallout universe and, assuming I would be at the same location as I'm currently at, I'd probably avoid some of the worst and have an easier time just avoiding other people.
I probably would plan to reach Anticosti Island, (remote, rich in resources and wildlife, very low population, and far from any population concentration that would have been a target of a nuclear strike )

Regarding the poll, if literally every inch of the world is desolate, then the Vault, but if there are parts that were far enough away from nukes that some nature still existed, I'd just migrate there and hope I don't get killed along the way. Maybe an island off the coast of Alaska? Build a giant wall around it and a community. Form an absolute monarchy, ideally, as that peovides a lot more security than elected officials that can be corrupted, bribed, or slow things down through bureaucracy. When there are cannibals at the gates, I want a decisive government and an absolute monarchy, for all its faults, can provide that.

Social experiment studying a population's willingness to sacrifice individuals for the safety of the majority, using falsified threats of collective punishment

Social experiment in which 10 wealthy residents would live in luxury while 300 impoverished residents lived in squalor, with wealthy residents granted total authority
