It was fairly predictable, a lot of people already guessed but at least now we have confirmation, FWIW from the context, it looks as though exclusivity for the trilogy was signed BEFORE Final Fantasy 7 remake even released so prior to the new CEO of Square Enix so don't go blaming him, Lol.

Gematsu

"According to Svennson, console exclusivity was mutually desired by Sony Interactive Entertainment and Square Enix when the Final Fantasy VII Remake project began."

I have to imagine that either Square was looking for a backer day 1 to reduce risk, or perhaps even that Sony wanted FFVII to happen in the first place and made some offers to Square.

Yeah, maybe.

Although, I think it's a bit crazy to sign an exclusivity deal for 3 GAMES before the 1st is even released.

But it's clear this agreement was made before Remake was released so, I won't be talking trash about Square's current CEO.

Low chance but hoping for FF Pixel remasters and Trials of Mana on Xbox.

I am very mixed about the show, great that it did happen (now only need an indies one) but don't felt amazed by it, feels Xbox division is not doing much with their partners?

Roblox chucky game was weird but most were fine or atleast interesting but not interesting enough to make me go wow.

Games like Alters/That capcom game are amazing in concept but I really really don't want to play those kind of games.

I'll give the preview a watch when I get off work later.

Well, that is a little sweet that they got a non-Xbox developer to do it because he made one of Tina's favourite games, Lol.

???

They gave spotlight to games from Square Enix, Capcom, Sega, Bandai Namco, EA, Nexon and there were multiple indie developers in there too.

It was heavy on the Asian focus...Thought you'd be all about that, Lol. I think we'll get a Square segment at the June showcase Tbh, but I'd also not be surprised if Octopath 2 is randomly announced at anytime from now until now by Square Enix, Lol.

FFXIV Starter Edition will be available through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks for a limited time from March 21 to April 19, 2024.

I wish all 1st party DLC was available through Game Pass Ultimate.
