I haven't played many of these type of games, but this one looks like I may have to give it a go.

• roadmap for the Xbox Family Plan still exists
• recognises Xbox is now sitting on many interesting IPs, it's all about finding the right teams being passionate about reviving these worlds at Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda and Activision Blizzard
• "we haven't touched every franchise that people would love us to touch — Banjo fans, I hear you"
• Game Pass allows Xbox to supports different kinds of games, different sizes of games; name drops Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment and Grounded, you'll continue to see that diversity in the future

You're right this ain't mixed at all and in no way seems like damage control to bad PR that might hurt console sales. Sales which they don't care about at all despite saying console is critical to their future plans.
