I still think the concession offers absolutely no benefit to consumers or competition so I dunno wtf they bragging about been the only regulator to get a worse deal.

It’s the UK, fucking itself it what it’s best at.

It is absolutely worse than EU's deal, that is I believe a fact, I don't know how anyone could argue otherwise. If the CMA wanted to, they could have made EU's deal apply Worldwide and extend it to 15 years very easily and that would have been amazing. Instead they chose to turn a free license (for consumers and corporations) into a paid license, Lol.

It's typical UK attitude, thinking our shit doesn't stink, CMA couldn't accept that EU's deal was better and had to make their own. I think BREXIT plays a part in this too, CMA is fairly new as a regulator that governs itself and beforehand used to follow EC's decision but now since BREXIT they've got to make a name for themselves and they don't want to continue following what the EU does because "UK is the best! Fuck EU!"

And they couldn't expand on EU's offer after they threw a tantrum at EU approving it.

Despite the FTC proceedings, Microsoft and Activision are expected to close their transaction, which was first announced in January 2022, in the coming days and ahead of a final deadline on October 18.

Spare a thought for all those who ran a victory lap when the CMA initially blocked and today will be living in a hole.
