I threw my credit card at my screen and nothing happened!!!

Watching the Obsidian 20th anniversary vids and man .. MS completely fucked them.

Yeah, Xbox's cancellation of Stormlands under Mattrick in March 2012 nearly killed Obsidian, were it not for kickstarter emerging as a viable funding alternative for indie devs around that time, allowing for a successful crowdfund of Pillars of Eternity later that year in September, they would very likely have shut down, as their Ubisoft contract for South Park: The Stick of Truth alone would not have been enough to keep the lights on. Mattrick was just the worst. 

Wow, never thought Baldur's Gate 3 could review like this, my prediction was like 92 as I recall, it's sitting on a 97 average right now on Metacritic. I thought Starfield had RPG of the year on lock after Diablo 4 and FF16 both got 88, was expecting about 92 for BG3 and Starfield about 94 with Starfield getting the RPG of the Year win and Zelda taking Game of the Year with it's 96 score. However, if Baldur's Gate 3 can maintain this 97 score or even a 96 as more reviews come in, it not only will kill Starfield's chances of an RPG of the Year win, it might just have a chance of dethrone Zelda for Game of the Year. Crazy performance.

It didn't help either that Bethesda screwed Obsidian over with the 1 point off Metacritic score for Fallout: New Vegas. Back-to-back devastating blows for Obsidian....and now they work with both companies again lol

To be honest Mattrick fucked a LOT of things :)
