Forums - Microsoft - XBOX |OT| Scratch One Grub! E-Day out now in Early Access

Good to see that Sega's games are also beginning to be added to the program.

They've got 5 seasons currently planned.

Season 1 - Emergence
Season 2 - Legacy and Beyond
Season 3 - Infiltration
Season 4 - Pendulum
Season 5 - Devotion

Doesn't look like private lobbies or leaderboards will be there at launch.

Season 2 looks like it'll be a special one. Outside of the Dead Serious achievement lol. That's a GRIND! Like all previous Seriously achievements, but nice to see you'll geta Legendary skin if you manage to pull it off!

"Season 2 is called Legacy and will be dedicated to our 20th Anniversary featuring content themed around the greatest hits of Gears of War. Crafted as a love letter to the franchise and you, our fans, you can expect a ton of new content inspired by the franchise’s most memorable moments. We’ll get the party started a little early with a special birthday gift for all Gears of War: E-Day players on November 7, the actual 20th Anniversary date.

When our achievement list became public earlier this summer, you may have noticed the traditional Seriously achievement is back for E-Day, which we’ve named Dead Serious. A tried and true challenge, players who earn the Dead Serious achievement will also receive an exclusive Medal, Player Title, Banner, Emblem, Icon. And, for the first time ever in the franchise, a Legendary Character skin. We will debut the Dead Serious reward skin at the start of Season 2."

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

Frank O'Connor getting roasted in the replies for saying Activision should hire recently fired Halo Studios people for their Halo team.

I agree with Frank that they should hire any and all Bungie talent that worked on the original trilogy if possible, for instance Marcus Lehto, art director on the Halo trilogy, recently said he wanted to work on Halo again.

I know but it looks like just EA as in Electronic Arts. Should redo the title.

Gears has now climbed to 89 Opencritic with 50 reviews. As long as the multiplayer servers aren't total crap, I think it may stay this high. If it does stay this high, possible GOTY nomination, it's now October and Gears E-Day is currently one of only 4 AAA releases on the first page of Opencritic's top 2026 releases, the others being Forza Horizon 6 (Keighley and the critics always shaft it on GOTY due to it not being super story focused), Fire Emblem, and Resident Evil Requiem. Obviously GTA 6 is coming for one of those nomination spots and will almost certainly be the winner this year, but it would be nice to see Gears nominated.
