More? Not including the Starfield one?

Hell yeah! I'm guessing for additional titles that will be announced at E3? Maybe around September or so right before Xbox's big holiday push.

Yeah, I'm assuming we'll have two for this year, the next will be around August - September if I were to guess.

Really wish they would do a smaller scale one for ID@Xbox as well instead of the Twitch/ID@Xbox which will happen around March.

As I suspected, we will likely get one of these per quarter approximately. For instance Starfield for Q2 (though I hope the deep dive is February or March instead of Q2), a Summer Q3 one with longer demos for some of the Q3 and Q4 releases announced at E3, and a Q4 one with demos for some of the Q4 and Q1 2024 releases.

Some of those leakers that were mentioning Redfall releasing on May 2nd did include that Starfield may release before Redfall. So who knows? Maybe at the end of the Starfield Direct, we find out the game releases a week or two later!

That was my hope at the time, but now that we know Minecraft is April, I doubt they would release Starfield the same month as Minecraft and I doubt Starfield could be ready for a March release. June release for Starfield is likely our best case scenario right now.

Then again, maybe they would release Starfield the same month as Minecraft, afterall they decided to release HiFi Rush, Goldeneye Remaster, and Age of Empires 2 Definitive Edition, all 3 first party games, within a 7 day time span. If they are willing to do that, maybe Xbox isn't going to be as stringent about only releasing 1 larger exclusive per month as I thought they would be. Also April is an ideal month for a AAA release right now as it only has a single AAA release to compete against, Dead Island 2, while June has Street Fighter, Diablo, and Final Fantasy for Starfield to compete with.

Good point that I just saw, Microsoft expects Gaming Revenue to fall this quarter so it definitely won't come before April - We know that at minimum now. Feb - March are 100% out.

Not that I expected those months, I still expect June at minimum and likely September but we can at least rule some out for certain, Lol.

Doesn't seem like the new Redfall gameplay won over any more doubters than the E3 gameplay did last year, like/dislike ratio is just as bad if not worse. Seeing 2.2k likes/1.5k dislikes on the main Bethesda Youtube channel, 413 likes and 228 dislikes on Gamespot reposting, 1.2k likes and 482 dislikes on IGN.

I suspect it is the production value throwing most people off as the gameplay seems good (I was a bit skeptical of the game before but they won me over today with the new Gameplay footage). It just doesn't look like a AAA Xbox Series/PC only exclusive should look. In some ways it looks worse than the now 6 year old Dishonored 2, which had to be able to run on base Xbox One. For instance look at the differences in interior quality here:

The hardwood flooring looks worse than in Dishonored 2, the lantern texture sucks compared to similar pieces of environmental clutter on the desk in Dishonored 2, the clothing textures on the man look very outdated, even the lighting seems worse.

I suspect that after Dishonored 2 underperformed in sales, Bethesda pulled alot of their budget, which is why neither Deathloop nor Redfall looked as good graphically as Dishonored 2. It's a real shame. Hopefully Xbox will give them back a proper AAA budget for their next 2 games from Arkane Lyon and Arkane Austin.

I dont think we are looking at the same game. The lighting imo on redfall looks much better. Just look at the shadows. and the reflections. They look Hard on Dis2 but soft like they should look in real life on Redfall. Id imagine they are also using Raytracing and if not they are using something close to it that looks pretty damn good. Its also an open world game and the image you picked doesnt do it justice imo.

Sony's gaming chief Jim Ryan met EU antitrust chief Margrethe Vestager on Wednesday to discuss Microsoft's (MSFT.O) $69 billion bid for "Call of Duty" maker Activision Blizzard (ATVI.O), a person familiar with the matter said on Thursday.

The meeting came as the EU competition watchdog prepares to warn Microsoft this week about the potential anti-competitive effects of the U.S. software giant and Xbox maker's acquisition in the biggest gaming industry deal in history.

Looks like the SO is tomorrow.

We'll likely see what EU's concerns are and if Microsoft can settle them with remedies.

If assuming he means beyond Starfield then doing one around September would be dope. Maybe see some stuff launching early next year?
