well Sony was having major problems with server stability so this should allow them time to fix it.

Maybe it's a generational thing but I have never understood why anyone would even want 'Home'. But then I barely use MSN messenger either. Personally, I'd prefer MS method of just show me who's on, playing what and let me contact them ingame.

Having said that, I really hope Sony pulls off Home and it's a success for them. I give them credit for taking the time (and $$$ expense) to make sure it's right before they release it. Lord knows, if they put it out and it's not what people want and gets a bad name it's almost impossible to recreate interest - Look at SW Galaxies.

 no vaporware is the Phantom Console. HOME has actually been used by consumers in the closed beta.

I figure not even a third of the PS3 owners know anything about HOME (yeah, pulling it out of my ass, but I think that's very likely) so delay or not, not many people are "waiting" on this anyway.

What I do think they should've addressed a long time ago are the "small things" like in-game XMB, more and better media player features, improve XMB features related to the friend's list, messaging (more options, diversity in general). Improved downloading features too (auto-install downloads, auto-shutdown, etc.) and there's a ton of things from the mudane ones like a friggin' on-screen clock to the more technical ones. I hope the new PS Store is just the start and they will address these issues which contrary to Home, regular PS3 users see as real needs for a no-hassle, enjoyable experience.

To paraphrase a great man, "A delayed beta is good eventually.........."

Sony has one more chance with this HOME feature that they are trying to compete with Live. If this gets delayed one more time that'll probably be the last straw for some fans.

I mean how many people will have the patience or will continue to care about this if this keeps happening.

Oh yeah, this isn't even the 'OFFICIAL' release for HOME but the beta. Are betas supposed to be PERFECT?
