Isn´t it ironic that the only console maker who also make an internet browser, did not put their own browser on their own console?

I´m posting this from my Wii, by the way (I love browsing VGChartz on my TV). No offense, but how could MS miss this occasion? They are always promoting Media Center/multimedia capabilities of their Xboxes, but they never added IE. Strange world...

Probably not. That would create a reason, granted a very poor one, to not have a PC.

Lets think about this.

If microsoft released a version of ie and 360's started getting viruses, it would be horrible pr. Can they afford to take the risk?

And yeah console browsing sucks, leave it in the realms of the computer.

They don't need to. That's what the computer in every single household is for.

The 360 should just solely focus on online gaming and DLCwith its XBox Live service.  A web browser would be a huge mistake.

 The DS is the worst (and most expensive) and the Wii is pretty good.  If you learn all of the hot keys it is easy to get around.  It is good for playing games online, text heavy sites, youtube, news, weather, porn, google...

the ps3 web browser is extremly basic but, to be honest with you i cant live without it.

my pc is upstairs aswell as my virgin media cable input. so i play my ps3 in my front room downstairs wirelessly and when ever i need to check youtube, news, or gamefaq its just a brilliant i can quit game and check the web

 the 360 has msn but its annoying because you get to many popup messeges, they could offer a browser but i dont think they will

The Wii browser is great. I often use it when I'm lying in bed. Sure it not as good as the PC, but it is more comfortable.

Honestly who cares. Using the internet browser in the PS3 is like getting a tooth pulled. And I bet the same applies for the Wii with SD resolution (shudder internet in 480p).
