Its just a video game console, not the second coming of Christ or something. I just don't see how people are still so pumped up about it. I mean hell, we have one at our house, and it doesn't get played that often. And yes, we have Brawl.

Yeah, but see, you have one and your not even a Nintendo fanboy. Imagine how awesome it is to have one and actually love Nintendo and everything they put out, from being a huge fan of their software and design choices.

Honestly, my PS3 collects dust, while I'm in PS2, Wii, and DS heaven. I seriously could not be more sastified with my 250 dollar purchase.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

You sure about that?

I mean, What Would Jesus Play?

The reason I responded to your inital post with my annoying sarcasm was your phrase "THAT good" with emphasis on "THAT" as if you could quantify how many sales the Wii deserved relative to how good you thought it was. There'll be plenty of things you like and understand that are popular. This may just not be one of them. Get over it and accept you're not in the majority.

To lots of people the Wii is "THAT" good enough to deserve the sales it is getting. It doesn't have to be "the second coming of Christ" as you put it to have such numbers in what should be an otherwise slow week with no major releases/holiday push.

And if my last post wasn't clear enough stop posting anecdotal evidence as the basis of your post. We get it. Your Wii doesn't get played often. That doesn't mean that's the case for everybody. Other people actually enjoy the games being released on the Wii. Like famousringo's sig states The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.

Edit: Nice.  As i'm typing my post famousringo posts right above me with that sig.

Wii's Okami got just about 1/5 of the PS2 versions all time WW sales in the first for days out for NA alone? Two years later? That can't be dissapointing to Capcom.

BAM! There it is!

Wii Code 3456 7941 4060 2924

What were Okami (PS2) sales worldwide?  VGC only has data from Japan.

someone said Okami sold 270k on the PS2,

I doubt Prologue managed to move much more than a 100k in sales this week. Seriously, the US is not going to warm up to a preview of a game that has questionable potential in sales for the US. Yes Gran Turismo sells pretty big here (not like the EU though), but we need to take note that Prologue is entirely new to the US, and I don't think particularly many Americans enjoyed the fact they had to pay 40 dollars.

Good grief, SSBB has some great legs!!!
