Do I even have to back up my arguement??? 500k * $60(yea konami get $60 from each copy sold) = 30million, and my arguement is not about how many copy needed to turn in a profit, its about who got the last say to have exclusive or not, and its not the decision of the disigner, unless that designer is writting off paycheck to empolyee, then he'll have the ultimate saying to any business decision.

and please know what you talking about before you point out 500k copies would return 30million, yes your correct in revenue, but 30 million is my estimate cost of developing the game. 30 million revenue does not cancel out 30 million cost.

Just a quick question, how did you come up with $30 million?

I love the math on these forums 60$ retail minus store profit minus Sony's Cut = $60 for Developer... Absolutly brilliant! i understand that it could make $30 million, but only a portion of that will go back to the developer.

Why would this SO hard to believe? Konami ended up bringing several previous MGS titles to the Xbox.

several? MGS2 = several?

Was  it only Substance that came out for the Xbox? Didn't Snake Eater ever make it? And wasn't there a special version of Substance (or was that substance)?

I may well be wrong on this one.

...

I'll still be shocked if MGS4 doesn't make it to the 360 (at  some point).

I though substance and subsistence had come out on the Xbox. However, I heard they were terrible compared to their PS2 counterparts. Framerate issues and all.

These are the same people who think Sony can drop the price of the PS3 in half...

Can you prove that they can't ?

Metal Gear Solid was released for PC.

Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes was released for the Gamecube.

Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance was released for Xbox and PC.

I'll be more surprised if MGS4 doesn't come to the 360.

Prove? Thats a weighted word. Show that it's likely financial suicide? Sure. If they drop 300 dollars off the console price, then they need to make that price up in games sold. That's 5 extra games sold per console. That's an enormous boost in attach rate, and it's effectively impossible.

For all I know they could give the PS3 away for free, then it would be the #1 seller for sure.
