Lego Star Wars had a good opening, quite split between Switch and PS4 (we'll have to wait for Vandal to see how many copies did the PS5 sell). Ans Kirby hold there quite well.

As for the hardware, great Switch sales, but it looks like both new consoles had quite a bad one. Let's hope it's just a bump in the road, and not another dry spell.

Thank you, Polofresco.

Week 7 the PS5 did 400 and the Xbox Series 900 and now week 14 they're flipped. Clearly this must mean something.

The fact that the PS5 and the XBox XS are neck and neck is fascinating. If Sony doesn't solve its supply issues soon, Xbox's going to gain more and more momentum.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Estimated total sales by Vandal at week 12 (miss 2 last weeks):

  • PlayStation 5: ±380.000
  • Xbox Series: ±127.000

How does this compare to the PS4 and Xbox One at the same point in their life cycles?

Updated with Vandal information:

Didn't realize this before, but I guess these rankings are based on revenue instead of units, since Kirby sold more units than the PS4 version of Lego Star Wars. (Also, I am guessing these two games have a different price in Spain.)

No this is after Vandal info came in. Gamereactor has Lego SW on PS4 at 8k units. It's not revenue based.

As Kakadu18 has said, it's not based on revenue but sales. The problem (or mistake) is that Gamereactor, who provides sales data first, had the Lego game for PS4 in second place but, when adding the units sold that Vandal provided, it turns out that Kirby actually sold more units and should be in second place.

Anyway, thanks for the update, polofresco. Too bad the hardware numbers didn't change for the better.
