Save for some Burnout games I was always more into the kart games. My favorite one remains Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, it is just such a polished good time! I don't even know what they could do for a potential Mario Kart 9.

Currently I'm only into Mario Kart but I used to be also into Need for Speed and Gran Turismo, sadly NFS went to the sh*t after Carbon (so like 16 years ago) and stopped playing them, and GT games after GT6 have problems that make me feel not compelled to ever get them, such as GT Sport not having SP content or GT7's SP mode being online only.

Edit: I also used to play Formula 1 games.

Same for me in terms of Need for Speed.

And one series I forgot to mention which I played a lot a dozen years ago was Burnout, especially Takedown and Revenge.

I did play Burnout 3 quite a bit when it was new on PS2.

Fatal Racing/Whiplash

Still my favorite racing game, especially in Multiplayer. Hard to explain , so better watch to video.

Fatal Racing is one of my big favorites, one I keep playing now and then year after year.

I started wing Hang-On build-in Master System. After that it was a while before I really got into racing games.

Later favorites have been Road Rash (Master System), Destruction Derby 2, Sega GT, Ridge Racer Type 4, Gran Turismo 1 and Colin McRae 2005. (And Carmageddon 1&2.)

There's also little old shareware title Slicks'n'Slide.

Others I've played include Rallisport Challenge, Xpand Rally, Colin McRae 3, Sega Rally, Screamer Rally 2, Johnny Herbert's GP Championship, Star Wars Episode I Racer (PC and the surprisingly great Game Boy version), Test Drive Offroad and Test Drive 4 (the most infuriating bastard of all these - and driving games do get on my nerves...)

I got back into GT7 with PSVR2. Lapping the Nurburgring with dynamic time and weather is just too good

I hope Dirt Rally 2 comes to PSVR2 like Dirt Rally came to PSVR. And Wipeout to come over as well.

A full conversion of DriveClub would be great as well but unlikely

I was flabbergasted by GT7 PSVR2 driving BAC Mono on Laguna Seca.
