Hard to imagine 7,000 physical PC copies were sold last week. I don't even know what the physical packaging looks like.

Even 8,500 is a bit high for Xbox, unless they are counting Xbox One copies. Xbox series is digital heavy due to the availability of Series S.

Fromsoft did a PC special edition physical release that included a bunch of extra collectible stuff, it’s proven to be quite popular. I believe 73% of UK Elden Ring sales were digital, which means 27% bought that collectors edition on PC.

Yikes that's really bad, and on a week a huge game launched too. Even with chip shortages I never would have guessed that low of a number.

So Sony was able to ship 400 units for one of their biggest exclusives of the year, Horizon FW, and then 150 for one of the most anticipated third party games, Elden Ring. All of that while the Xbox, an almost dead brand in Spain that is also suffering from shortages, manages to sell 2000 units.

Sony is in trouble.
