“Newer variations of ATACMS have a maximum range of around 300 kilometers and have so far not been provided to Ukraine.”

“When Russia knows we can destroy these jets, they will not attack from Crimea,” Zelensky said.

“It’s like with the (Black Sea) fleet. We pushed them from our territorial waters. Now we will push them from the airports in Crimea.”

This is a big thing. Ukraine needs the F-16 and this aid will keep the jets flying. The F16 is notorious for being a primadonna bc it needs more maintenance than many other planes and really good runways to take off from. There are a lot of people who think it would be wise to fund sweden's Gripen fighter instead or on top of the F-16 since it is much easier to maintain. In any case, it would seem that you can't have everything, with massive defense budgets and soldiers out the a$$. Also, the f16 will be something new that ukraine hasn't had yet. This and the artillery supplies incoming could put ukraine in a position to start gaining territory back again. Russia is running out of equipment. They use way more artillery barrels than they make every year. We are already seeing how the Russians look inept when they field golf carts instead of IFVs, well this is because they are running out. The tanks won't last forever either. They will probably run out of MBTs in 2025. So things aren't so horrible that the situation can't be redeemed into something much more positive.

Yeah, F16 needs a perfect runway, it can't use the same runways as the MIGs so Ukraine is going to have to do up a few of their runways so Ukraine will also likely need that runway filled to the brim with air defence, including more Patriots as there are Russian missiles that only Patriot can intercept, otherwise the F16s and the runways will be destroyed, even if the F16 is safe but the runway is damaged, it might be too dangerous to take off for the F16 (but not for a MIG). Gripen will probably be sent either way.

Ukraine's juggling of multiple different equipment is seriously impressive and doesn't get enough credit, take the tanks for example, they're having to work between Leopard 1, Leopard 2, Abrams, Challenger 2s, T-Series, etc. The logistics are likely an absolute nightmare and would be even for a country like America. Ukraine is probably going to be balancing between Gripen, F16 and MIGs next.

"A collaborative investigation by The Insider uncovered evidence linking the mysterious health condition known as the Havana Syndrome to members of Russia's military intelligence agency. GRU Unit 29155 reportedly used directed energy weapons to target overseas U.S. government personnel.

The Insider, together with Der Spiegel and 60 Minutes, was able to geolocate operatives associated with Unit 29155 to places around the world just before or at the time of reported anomalous health incidents, or AHIs. Unlike other teams within Russia’s intelligence agencies, Unit 29155 was not created to spy on people or gather information and focuses entirely on violent military operations."
