Moscow is warning that relations with Canada are "on the verge of being severed" after the Trudeau government moved to forfeit a massive Russian cargo plane.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited Ukraine on the weekend, where he announced that Canada officially seized an airplane that had been sitting on the tarmac at Toronto's Pearson International Airport since February 2022.

Russia's foreign ministry said in an English-language statement posted Tuesday that Moscow is prepared to retaliate and the decision "will entail the most serious repercussions for Russian-Canadian relations."

Canada is the first G7 country to enact a law that allows Ottawa to not just seize assets held by sanctioned people, but to forfeit the money and have it diverted to victims of a sanctioned regime.

Trudeau said Ottawa plans to begin the process to forfeit the plane and use the funds to support Ukraine, which could be the government's first use of that law.

There has been low activity in recent days, I posted a few days ago about the heavy rain coming. Apparently Ukraine used the heavy rains to amass equipment and de-mine the area, the heavy rains disrupts the use of drones and air-force on both sides which allows Ukraine to covertly clean mined areas with less risk of artillery strikes on them.

With Germany now producing Leopard 2A8, they will be able to send more of their older 2A6 tanks to Ukraine once those come online, as do the 2A4 that have been given back to KMV and Rheinmetall for resale.

I also wanted to share the playlist of the Russian Invasion of Ukraine from Kings and Generals, as it's very high production value and goes very deep into detail into what happens on the front, with bi-weekly updates. Currently they're at the end of May, so the counterattack is not yet taken into account, but they also list equipment losses of both sides and more importantly, all the military aid and political developments in those given timeframes:

Russia throwing missiles at Kyiv while African leaders are there. And South Africa as example is leaning more towards Russia as to Ukraine and the West in this war. Or at least they never said anything against Russia. Hope it will change. I would be pretty pissed if I would be in Kyiv
