Iran’s current hardline regime has a high chance of falling. The people are angry; and since peaceful protesters were killed, the people are rioting.
An illegitimate election, murder by the morality police, video of sexual assault of a female protester by prison guards. Security forces have killed over 200 people. Iran might be a very different sort of regime in the next few years. This wouldn’t be their first go at revolution.

The Ayatollah accusing Europe of corrupting the women and youth of Iran shows how ridiculous their regime has become.

Looks like Ukraine success rate in downing drones in massive drones strike around Kyiv have gone from about 50% all the way up to 70%+ in a week or so. Pretty impressive.

Too bad the defense costs probably way more than those cheap drones. As example the new air defense system they got from Germany uses rockets which cost more than 250k each. Those drones are probably cheaper as what the air defense systems use to shoot them down...

Your equation misses the key factor: A drone that comes through and destroys something. Something can cost you millions in repairs/replacements. Not accounting for lives lost either.

That's obvious. Just saying it sucks that throwing drones against Ukraine is much cheaper as defending it from those drones. If you think about how Russia can buy like 5000 drones for 100m it's crazy. Maybe little bit more but still...

UK is a shitshow right now, Ben Wallace is heading to Washington for an urgent meeting right on the back of reports that defence spending may be cut which has reportedly been something Wallace has threatened to resign over if it happens. Could be nothing though, or maybe America is telling UK to get its shit together.

These drones fly at low altitudes and at very slow speeds. The best thing to do is to shoot them down with cheap anti-aircraft cannons.
Now, if there only was a country with unused and very capable anti-aircraft tanks to spare... *cough* Germany *cough*

Alternatively, although more expensive, a Stinger rocket should do the trick too, since these drones use a combustion engine, generating heat in the process.

But what's more pressing is to deliver Ukraine with capable radars so the drones can be detected earlier to get the air defence into position in time.
(Maybe strategically placed and linked microphones would do the trick too, since these drones are so loud. ?)

To think they were once a civilised country. But stupid people thought Iran was becoming to Western and decided to roll things back to the stone ages.

All they had to do was get rid of Ayatollah Khomeini before he become relevant to enough people and Iran would have been in a much better position then they are now. Another fine example of what the religion of Peace has brought to the standards of living for women in the 21st century.
