That's a WW1 tactic.

No, this is how the South fought in the Civil War from roughly half-time. Less than half the Southern militia had any guns (or shoes, or appropriate clothing). Watch Ken Burns and learn...

The reason I say WW1 as it is often cited that in 1914 Russia had the largest army in the world but not enough guns to arm every man. Those without were just told to get one from a dead soldier.

Just imagine you have millions of people who fled to countries like Poland, Romania, Germany and many more. You have some million more who fled to other Ukrainian cities in western Ukraine. Then there are thousands of soldiers from Ukraine not in their hometowns to vote and on top of that you have voting booths with see through ballot boxes and some guy with a weapon close to you in a room with Russian flags telling you "this is Russia already.

They probably wouldn't even have to fake the voting results to get more than 50% pro Russia with these conditions. But they still will because they need high results to say how big the support is.

The worst part is how millions of idiots around the world will say how Russia was right lol

There’s a figure I’ve seen reported from the similar 2014 Crimea ‘referendum’ from Russia Human Right Council saying the actual result was barely over 50% in favour of annexation on a 30% turnout.

And they probably still voted for it later after some soldiers told them that they have to vote for Russia or will get shot in the woods.

Russia has to be so proud that their biggest military strenghts comes from Iran and not their own forces. The country which felt so powerful needs Irans weapon industry to have any chance lol
