Ukrainian drone strikes deep in Russia have triggered major internet outages, forcing the Kremlin to suspend services.

Cash registers down, buses halted, deliveries lost — at a cost of $557M/hour across Russia and $115M in Moscow alone. (FT)

In the (hopefully unlikely) event that Turkey complies with the Russian request there needs to be serious questions asked about Turkey’s Nato membership given it would be for all intents and purposes supplying weapons to an enemy state.

Absolutely. NATO gave themselves this problem when they implemented the voting system requiring unanimous voting instead of a majority. So assholes with a secret loyalty like Hungary and Tukiye can cause problems for the rest of the group.

Same thing with regards to Hungary’s membership in the EU. It’s becoming all too obvious that Orban is a Russian asset in the EU. He acts like Hungary is a vassal state of Russia just like Belarus is.

To be clear, Denmark has a law that makes all this legal when it otherwise wouldn't be. Denmark isn't just saying 'screw the laws' here, although the law that makes this possible could probably be called debatable.

I'm glad that they care so much. This is a good thing, regardless of the debatable legality.

Kick some ass Ukraine!

EU to propose quicker phase out of Russian oil imports following pressure from Trump

When Trump said that he wouldn't help much unless the EU restricts russian oil imports, this threads reaction was that he was deflecting. But the EU is taking that and calling him on what he said. So, if the can get hungary and whoever else to ban the russian energy then we may see more assistance.
