After retrofitting their second Antonow AN-124 with western technology (replacing Russian technology), it was successfully flown out of Kiev to Leibzig, Germany. Russian bloggers are not happy....

Lmao. Good.

Switzerland doesn't need weapons. After all, they can't use them, they're neutral, right?

Not quite what 'neutral' means. They won't join partisans political blocs or military alliance, but if they are attacked the would respond militarily.

They just haven't been in that situation since the Napoleonic Wars. A convenience of location, with a bit of luck during the two world wars.

You didn't get the joke...

Switzerland has been adamantly refusing that any Swiss made equipment is being sent to Ukraine, stating their neutrality as the reason not being able to actually use their weapons in an armed conflict. Basically they're saying that whoever bought Swiss weaponry will not be allowed to actually use them in case of war, even if they're being invaded.

So if they would be applying this logic to themselves too, then in case of an invasion they would not be allowed to defend themselves due to their neutrality. As in, they would be neutral in a conflict between Switzerland, so themselves, and any invaders...

“Never accept occupation. That’s what we did. Don’t give up,” Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said, addressing the Ukrainian people. He also announced that Azerbaijan is preparing legal documents to file a case against Russia in international courts.

Wagner Mercenaries Gun Down 11 Villagers at Russian-Run African Gold Mine

The benefit of having a PMC is that they can be ordered to commit atrocities without the parent nation being directly blamed for this. Anod now, Ukraine is thinking about creating its own PMC's and i'm very much against this. The temptation would be too great.

Russian elite living in fear as Putin purges take bloody toll
Wealthy and powerful ‘s---ing themselves’ following spate of arrests and mysterious deaths, former government official says

Could an assasination and/or coup be possible? Jobs aren't plentiful, vodka prices are soaring, and the ruble is worth about as much as dirt. The oligarchs were previously unhappy with the amount of $$$ they were making, and now daddy putler wants to finance his war through killing and selling off the oligarchs businesses.

This seems like a great time to do it, especially when putin is ailing. When the lion grows old, he'd better watch out more carefully.
