Oh and here comes Trump to undermine the entire thing almost immediately.

Apparently Trump’s 4th threat in 3 months to impose additional sanctions on Russia if they don’t agree to a ceasefire is now off because Putin doesn’t want to do that. 4 threats, 4 Putin rejections, 4 Trump does nothing.

Good thing Turkiye already said no talks without a ceasefire and Trump wasn't even the one who came up with the ceasefire, that was Europe 4 (UK, Germany, France and Poland) and Trump couldn't even be bothered to show up so I'm not sure his immediately caving to Putin for the 4th time is that relevant here, all Macron did was phone him and tell him about a deal they made and Trump said he supported it, Lol.

So Trump's pathetic "Putin rejected a ceasefire once again and I'm going to rollover like a good little boy and be too fucking stupid to recognise delay tactics" is probably not going to be an issue. The ceasefire proposal remains, either Russia halts attacks on May 13th or Europe significantly steps up pressure and aid. Shouldn't matter that America has pissed its pants and accepted Putin's 4th ceasefire rejection.

🚨 BREAKING: Starting tomorrow, Ukraine is ready for a full, unconditional and lasting ceasefire — to lay the groundwork for peace talks.

Zelensky: “There’s no point in prolonging the killings. I’ll be in Türkiye this Thursday and expect Putin to come — personally. No excuses”

🇵🇱 Polish PM Donald Tusk confirms: the massive fire at Warsaw’s Marywilska shopping center was an act of arson ordered by Russian intelligence. Several suspects have been detained — others are being hunted. “We will get you all!”

No shit, but what will we do about it? The absolute minimum should be declaring Russia as an official enemy of the EU/Europe, cut that rot off completely, kick out any "allies" of our alliances that still work with Russia (I.E. Slovakia and Hungary) and refuse trade deals with the allies of Russia (Brazil). That should be the bare minimum, but lets see how this "ceasefire" goes first.

Russia running low on artillery pieces:

They still have 1000+ Self-propelled artillery pieces left... but many of those are in a very bad shape or already scavenged for pieces like barrels, so the actual number of usable pieces is much lower.

And one can really see how much the amount of mortars dropped after the war Special Military Operation™ was called. No wonder Russia is increasingly using North Korean artillery pieces. At this rate with all the money going into NK now to fund Russia's invasion, Russia will become North Koreas junior partner, not the other way around.

Russia looks tough on paper but has no depth, and can't win a long war any more.  Obvious right?

But they have millions of Russian men they can simply throw into the meat grinder to try and overwhelm Ukraine. Pyrrhic victories have always been Russia's only real military strategy.
