Forums - Gaming Discussion - Konami is celebrating Castlevania's 35th anniversary with NFT's.......

It's only a matter of time before we see Metal Gear, Contra, Silent Hill, and Bomberman NFT's........

I'm actually rather shocked at how many companies/entities are "suddenly" jumping on board NFTs. It's a bit shocking considering general public reception is always lukewarm or worse and it makes me wonder who (behind the scenes?) is really pushing this...

We can count on Konami to do this type of bad stuff.

And as someone said on the thread, I'm not surprised to see that so far all the companies embracing NFTs are the ones we expect to be bad companies.

If only nfts were used better... Like selling concept art with a good chunk of the money going to the artist.

You know, the reason we were told nfts would be a thing in the first place...

Wasn't it to line the pockets of the stockholders and CEOs?

As soon as the concept came up some asshole immediately saw the potential for money laundering and tax evasion and I bet it's very effective. Now these gaming companies are just doing this to rip off people.

"A fool and his money are soon parted", from a poem "Five Hundred Points of Good Husbandry " which was written by Thomas Tusser in the mid 1500's.  P.T. Barnum is often credited with its origins but wasn't born until 300 years later.

"There's a sucker born every minute", a phrase also commonly associated with P.T. Barnum.

"The money's the same, whether you earn it or scam it." - Bobby Heenan

Hey Konami, Keep NFT away from yugioh! With how much they milk duel links and now master duel coming with both card packs purchased with gems and cosmetics…ugh I really worry how much they could ruin.
