Forums - Nintendo - Your bad experiences with the Wii

I have heard only good things about the Wii so lets see some bad things. (Other than the specs comparison)

Please do not make this into a flame war. (Highly unlikely but what ever)

I have a sad experience but this is due to the high demand for the Wii and nothing about negatives.See below:

Originally I was going to wait for the midnight launch at Walmart to get myself a Wii. However I invited some friends to come over for some WOW playing, due to my friends comments that the line wouldn't probally start until like 6pm I waited till 12pm and called every 15 minutes at the Walmart to see if anyone was outside waiting. So finally at 5ish I called again and the guy said there were over 30 people waiting in line. I freaked. Needless to say I didn't get one at 12am. I have never played WOW since.

I used to work at an electronics retailer, we had an early morning meeting the day the Wii launched. So I couldn't stand outside a store and wait for it. Then the store opened and I had to explain all the features, games and pricing to all the costumers. We had 64 total Wiis for the launch. That was hell. We sold out almost as fast as we opened. I was unable to buy one but was able to sell them, worst day of my life to this day which is sad, I had been looking forward to it since its announcement and it hurt more because I really wanted to play LoZ:TP. LoZ fan. Later that day I went and bought LoZ:TP even though I didn't have a Wii then. Eventually two weeks later I got a Wii.

This discussion should be interesting.

Thanks.

Sometimes when i'm browsing the net my Wii crashes other than that the only other problems with it is how asnnoying it is to store the Virtual Console games on the system as they can't be played of a SD card.

My worst moment with the Wii was the day I realized I hadn't turned it on in at least two months and promptly sold the console.

Oh well, got another one now. No big deal.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

Sometimes when I put in a disc the Wii won't read it. Thats pretty much the worst I've got.

about to beat All-star mode with Wario (I suck with Wario) on hard and the power went out, can't say thats the Wii' fault though.

Playing wii bowling, It was my turn and I step forward, my little sister was not far from behind me, At the time I was really angry and competitive, So I swung my arm back so hard I hit my little sister in the nose and she bleed...whoops

In order to get the Wii during the launch I had to get the Costco launch bundle which included Zelda TP and Excite Truck. I would of rather waited until Zelda was $25 before buying it and I don't like Excite Truck.
