Is this retailer or 3rd party seller? What about Amazon Mexico? Is it cheaper than retailer? |
Gameplanet (one of the biggest video game retailers in the country), sells it for that price
https://gameplanet.com/consola-nintendo-switch-oled-joy-con-blanca.html
Third party sellers sell it for even more than that
Amazon does not have it available and the price does not appear, but I doubt it's much lower, if at all
Regarding the PS5:
UK Amazon: £399 which is around 470 Euro or $550. That's £50 more expensive than PS5DE!

Wow , Does Nintendo know about this or other console makers? Is there a tax or retailer fee that makes them sell too high? they shouldn't be doing that , but then again Brazil charges alot , Must be government law in Mexico? |
In Brazil currently the MSRP for PS5 is 4400 (815USD), which is basically the 500 USD (for a brazilian buying it in travel would be like 600 USD) plus import costs, taxes and possibly a 10% margin for retailers. I haven`t check the Switch, but it usually had a bigger percentage difference than Xbox and PS.
On the 3rd party stores/scalpers though we have it being sold between 6000 and 9000 (1.1k and 1.7k USD).
All major retailers sell for the MSRP here (I even luckied out and bought for 4150 a little more than 5% discount), but marketplace on the same stores and others sell quite above it. From what I've seem we are basically getting one batch of consoles a month shipped here and when the sales open on the regular internet stores it sells out in about 2 hours.

Yeah.
The scalper's domination era.
Here in Sweden, and my native Norway, the OLED model is 50% more expensive than the base model, which is insane. That 50$ mark-up in the US and Canada somehow grew. EU prices are usually higher, but this is next-level.
