I sure thse 2 games just exude quality and has to be why they dint even chart upon release and where mentioned for the wekend they launched. Now youre gona tell me ori is also AAA hundred million dev cost franchise.

To be fair, if you are satisfied with those types of games then for you gamepass might actually be worth it. I myself wont bother with a game that can be played on my phone and thus think paying $120 a year for that level of quality is not worth it.

Hmm... Let's see... In the last 3 months GamePass has gotten:

Flight Simulator - 90
Psychonauts 2 - 87
Hades - 93
The Forgotten City - 85
Scarlet Nexus - 80
The Artful Escape - 83
Subnautica: Below Zero - 82
Dirt 5 - 81
Art of Rally - 80
Back 4 Blood - 78
Omno - 77
Lemnis Gate - 77
Age of Empires IV - 83

That is basically $45 which, btw, gives you the ability to play these games anywhere.

To put that into perspective, that is basically the price of KENA (80).

That’s a lot of filler GaaS junk /s

That's just not true. I may not like Netflix original movies but they do spend a lot of money on them from time to time.

The Irishman cost $200 million.

Bright, Roma, Six Underground, and Red Notice are others.

Netflix just spent $400 million for two sequels to Knives Out.

Those are blockbuster figures.

Yeah perhaps I overstated a bit, but the point remains: Netflix rarely puts out blockbuster movies with the budget to follow.

The Irishman according to IMDB had a 175million budget and its the highest Netflix has ever spent on a movie. Six Underground is next highest and its at 150 million. The Irishman is also an outlier in that its actually a good movie. But Netflix has become notorious for putting out subpar action movies.

In contrast Black Widow and No Time to Die - both had budgets of over 200 million and are true blockbuster action movies. And they are not even at the upper echelon of blockbuster.

The point of my comment is to state that once MS's first party software reaches the pinnacle of quality as we generally see from Nintendo and Sony....they might find it hard to balance profits from gamepass and ever increasing budgets needed to reach that quality level.

Yeah, it is going to be really hard to match such a clean track record this gen. And let's not even talk about the budget; I mean, it would be impossible to match such high production values.

TIL a 166% increase in hardware revenue and a 2% growth in services (versus lockdown 2020, where most companies are seeing services drop YoY) are “sad” numbers.

Come on, you're on VGChartz, you should now what 166% increase YoY for the quarter means (aka Xbox Series X/S sales vs Xbox One sales summer last year - which were around 500k according to VGChartz estimates)

Let's see where you take these scores from:

- Flight simulator: 90 (XSX MC)

- Psychonauts 2: 87 (XSX MC)

- Hades: 93 (XSX MC)

- Forgotten City: 85 (PC MC  - XSX was higher)

- Scarlet Nexus 80 (PS4 MC - XSX was lower, and so was the PC)

- Artful Escape: 83 (this is wrong, it's 81 on XSX, 80 on PC and One)

- Subnautica: 82 (PC MC - XSX was higher)

- Dirt 5: 81 (XSX MC)

- Art of rally: 80 (XSX MC)

- Back 4 Blood: 78 (PC MC - XSX was lower)

- Omno: 77 (XSX MC)

- Lemnis: 77 (PC MC - XSX was higher)

- AoE IV: 83 (PC MC - but it's only on PC for now)

I don't understand why you're not consistent with the platform you choose to make your point.

I'm a huge Nintendo AND Gamepass fan, FYI, just wanted to respond to this post.

Mario Tennis, Golf Super Rush are made by a second party studio, Camelot Soft. Miitopia was a super budget game made for the 3ds originally, never was promised or priced as a major game. In fact, basically none of the games you listed were major games, which makes you seem like you have an agenda. No one is going to compare Halo to Warioware lol. Where are the metacritic scores for Botw, SMO, Xenoblade 2, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and all the other major Nintendo games? Literally nothing on this list is major, the closest thing would be Let's Go, and a 79 is a good score.

Perhaps in an attempt to average them out so both PC and Xbox gamers will have a general idea of what scores games are getting? But that's just my guess lol.

So why put a PS4 score ?
